14. Chapter Thirteen

Cassie's P.O.V.

I woke up to the sound of a loud car horn. I jumped and looked around hoping that I was anywhere but here. But still I was in the agency ladies car. I was hoping yesterday was all a dream but the truth was that it wasn't. I sat up, my eyes red and puffy still from yesterday. I only slept one hour. I checked the time on my phone. 5:30 PM. I wanted my life to end right now. But I knew I had to go. The Horan's were only meant to keep me until my parents finished their time. Deep in my soul I wanted to stay with Niall and his family, but my skin said something else. I felt like I had to go because I would put the Horan's in danger.

As I laid back in my seat I could hear the agency lady talking but I really didn't care to listen.

"We are almost there! In five minutes you'll be seeing your family again! Isn't that exciting?!" No. "Now you don't have to stay with the Horan's and you can be a normal teenager once again." She said with a wide smile.

I was never normal before. I don't want to be normal. I just wanted to be with Niall. My heart raced looking at the time. Time seemed to go by to quick.

Before I knew it I was staring at those familiar porch lights and dark brown house. The agency lady knocked on the door.

"There's a doorbell you know." I said quietly. She nodded and rang the doorbell. The familiar tune filled my head. I felt like I was to burst into tears. Hopefully my parents were different and hopefully I would be happy. The door opened quickly. A face appeared in the doorway. A face that I always looked at as torment and evil. She smiled and looked at me grinning.

"Welcome home baby." She said giving me a toothy grin. I nodded but jumped as she fiercely embraced me in a hug. She rubbed my back softly. "Look how beautiful you've gotten. Your hair got so long." She said playing with it. I just nodded. How can in just five months a person so evil turn out this affectionate to me? The person who used to hold me down to be beat would now compliment me and treat me right.

She looked at the agency lady. "I'll take her from here." She said.

"Oh, of course. She has everything packed up." The agency lady said. She gave me a small hug and in a flash her car lights were headed down the road.

"Come on Cass. Your father's waiting to see you." She said. I nodded slowly and walked into the house. Everything was like before. Beer bottles scattered everywhere. Holes in the walls from the times my father would rage. And a familiar rope and crowbar laid on the little table nearest to the door. "Sorry, we tried to clean up." She stated. I walked with her to the living room and saw my father sitting on the couch. Beer in his hand and a messy beard. When seeing his lips turn into a smirk I immediately remembered that face. Before every time of sex or molestation that smirk would be plastered on his face.

"Welcome home baby." He said. He stood up, his arms open wide waiting for me to embrace him. "Come on now." He said seeing that I haven't moved from my spot. I walked slowly into his open arms. I wrapped my small arms around his stomach. His came around my shoulders. His hands exploring my back. He kissed my cheeks and head multiple times. "Welcome home." He said. I nodded and let go. Happy to have been able to let go.

I saw my mother look at me with such happiness. "I'm so glad you're back. But also sad I must leave."

"What?" I asked confused.

"I work from 6 PM - 3 AM. I got a job since you left." She said grabbing her coat off the hook. "It'll only be a couple hours alone.. With your father." She said smirking. She put her coat over her shoulders and came over to kiss my cheeks. "Have fun." And with that she left. Now I was in the place I never wanted to be. Alone. With my dad.

Niall's P.O.V.

I laid down on my bed staring at the ceiling. I held the letter "C" necklace I had around my neck. I was so depressed. It reminded me of all the other days I was alone and tired. I got up and walked slowly down the stairs. I saw how empty the house seemed without Cassie. How full it was of just... Sadness. Everything and everywhere around me I saw sadness. Daisy was sleeping on the couch and I could see that she was crying not that long ago. And mum. She sat in her chair weeping and looking at small drawings that Cassie drew. I would cry if I had anymore tears left in me. I think I have cried so much that no more tears would come out. I walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge. I pulled out what I figured would calm me down. Help me to relive the sadness. I poured the small amount of strong alcohol in a small glass. I chugged it down in a second. The alcohol burned down my throat. Sadness was what I felt, sadness was all I could see. Sadness is what I am.

Cassie's P.O.V.

I felt my fathers arm come around my shoulder as mom left. "Come on Cassie, lets unpack." He said smoothly. We walked together up the stairs. I stopped at my room door. Still painted white and the door frame still messed up from them breaking into my room in the past. And the huge lock still on the door. The lock my parents used to use to lock me in my room so that I couldn't get out. He turned the door knob and opened the door. Everything was exactly how I left it. Messy bed, holes in the wall from my father, the windows still had wood nailed in the front of it so I couldn't escape or even look outside.. Blood on the floor. Everything, every memory, every moment was remembered. I felt my father give me a little push into my room.

I put my suitcase on my messy, dirty bed. My father followed me everywhere I walked. Having him on my tail made me nervous. I unzipped my suitcase but his hand stopped me. I looked into his dark green eyes. But they seemed to be getting darker. The same way they always would when he was being desperate.

"I missed you." He said. His fingers lacing through my hair. I took a step back. I knew this would happen. "Don't be shy." He said. I was trapped in a corner. His hand went up to my stomach. "You've gotton so pretty since I've last seen you." I stopped his hand.

"Don't." I said sternly. I was surprised at myself for having this much courage.

"I don't think it's your decision." He said with a smirk. He took me from my biceps and threw me on the bed and pushed the suitcase off. My hands pushed on his chest trying to get him off.

"Get off me!" I yelled. I struggled to push him off but nothing seemed to work.

"Oh god I missed this." He said. With a fight he tried getting my shirt off. He ripped the shirt off of me and threw it on the floor. His hands massaged over my bra but I kept trying to push him off.

"Please stop.. PLEASE!" I begged. But it was like he couldn't hear me. But he found something, my necklace that lay on my chest.

"N?" He asked. I stopped fighting. I was to tired. "What does N stand for?" He asked holding the necklace Niall gave me in his fingers. Tears came down from my eyes. Tears from missing Niall and tears that I was going through something I never wanted to go through again.

"N-Niall." I stuttered out.

"Niall?" He asked. "Who's Niall?"

"Who is he?!" My father shouted. I didn't say anything, I just laid there crying. "Oh I see, you got yourself a little boyfriend when you left did you? Is he blind?" He asked chuckling. He gripped the necklace and pulled it off my neck.

"NO!" I yelled as he threw it across the room. He looked at me and in a flash his hand hit my cheek with a loud smack. I gripped my cheek and looked at him.

"Don't you dare talk to me like that again." He said. I don't know why or how but my hand clenched into a fist and with one swing I hit him in the jaw. I never knew I had so much courage inside me. When his face was finally in sight I noticed the big red mark that laid on his cheek. "You got yourself in a whole lot of fucking trouble." He said. His fists hit my face rapidly. I screamed but when I did the punches became harder. I could feel blood run down my face and I could taste it in my mouth. Once finished all I could feel was the pain in my face and chest from the punches. I knew this was going to happen. I knew they never changed. I couldn't move for a second. I was to in shock. I felt my pants being tugged down. I wanted to fight back but I was to weak. Before I knew it I was completely bare, and I was in the same position I was in months ago.

I woke up. Tired, naked, and taken advantage of. I tried to sit up but I was to weak. My father was gone already. I could hear the TV playing down stairs. I was alone. In the dark. I looked at the clock that hung in my dirty room. It was 9 o'clock. I pushed my naked body off the bed. I looked for some clothes, but my suitcase was gone. I checked in my drawers but there were no clothes. I knew why he did this. He usually did this to humiliate me. And he succeeded at it. All that was left that was in my room was a dirty bed and.. My phone. I ran to my phone with little strength I had. I turned it on. 20% of battery. I had to make it count. I needed to call Niall. But how? I tried remembering his number.

"303.. 303?" I said to myself. I only remembered the first three digits. I thought for a little while. I remember the first day he gave me his phone number.

"It's like a riddle." He said.

"How so?" I asked.

"I'll give you the first three." He said. I nodded and listened. "303." And that's all he gave me.

"How's that a riddle?" I asked confused. We took a seat in front of the school.

"Every number can be added by three. But what if the first and third numbers were added by three? Once you have your answer do it one last time." He said.

"What?" I asked even more confused than before. He chuckled and threw his head back.

"Think about it." He said. I thought for a good amount of time before I hit my answer.

"I got it!" I shouted. "In the number 303 only add the first and third numbers by three and you get 606. Then if you do it again you get 909. So that means you number all together is 303-606-909."

"And that, Cassie Jay, is correct." He said kissing my cheek.

*End Of Flashback*

I quickly typed in the number, unblocked him, and pressed call. I waited from him to answer. I was so thrilled that I remembered. It rang.. And rang.. And then his sweet voice was heard.

"Cassie?" He said.

"Ni! Oh thank goodness it's you!" I said quickly.

"What's the matter?" He asked worried.

"It's my dad Ni. He's the same."

"I knew it!" Niall yelled angrily in the phone.

"Niall please. I need you to help me." I begged crying.

"What did he do to you?" He asked.

"H-He.." I said. I cried but couldn't get out the words.

"Cassie Jay, what did he do to you?" He asked.

"He raped me." I said in a whisper.

"NO!" I heard him yell. "I'm gonna kill him." Niall said furiously.

"Niall, please." I begged. "Please come and help me."

"Don't worry. I'm on my way."

"Please hurry." I cried into the phone.

"Don't worry. I'm not letting you go again." He said. "I love you."

"I love-" I couldn't finish, the phone was snatched out of my hand. I looked up and saw my father holding it.

"I don't think so." He said.

Niall's P.O.V.

"Cassie!? Cassie!" I yelled into the phone. But as an answer I heard her screams, her cry. I hung up and ran down the stairs. I grabbed my jacket.

"Ni, where are you going? It's late." My mum called after me.

"I'm getting our baby back."
