HARPAL: We’re on Earth, right, and we’re being stalked by a crazy Italian, constantly getting earfuls of how rubbish Pond marriage is, and whilst that’s going on, we’re on the run from an extremely hairy Queen Vicki, that's what we have deal with!

Nothing seems to make sense, as Queen Victoria mutates, Rory crumbles, and Monique follows in Italy. The Doctor can’t make sense of it, or how to solve the issue. When he tries, his experiment goes wrong, and when morning breaks he realises he has let the wolf loose on the town…
The only way he can do it, is by turning back time....

OPEN IN THE TARDIS, AMY IS STANDING AT THE DOORS AND HARPAL STANDS WITH HER.

AMY: What was that about?

HARPAL: Nothing. The Doctor being nosy.

AMY: Are you?

HARPAL: What?

AMY: Lying?

HARPAL: You too?

AMY: I quizzed you from the moment I met you. Remember? We dropped you off after school, then there was my dodgy driving, then there were the Judoon cells.

HARPAL: And?

AMY: I kept asking if you had a girlfriend.

HARPAL: So?

AMY: If somebody is in a relationship. It shows that someone at times who hasn’t known you so long feels a lot of affection for you. You can tell the person, if you can tell the relations.

HARPAL: Did you take psychologically or something at GSCE?

AMY: No. It’s just logic. But you don’t have one, or anyone. You’re alone.

HARPAL: There’s my sister.

AMY: I have Rory. He has the TARDIS. You don’t have anyone.

HARPAL: I have my sister. I love my sister.

AMY: I know. But you’ve known her all your life.

HARPAL: You’ve known Rory all your life.

Amy stutters.

AMY: I never told you that…

THE DOCTOR: Werewolf!

Amy and Harpal turn.

THE DOCTOR: She’s a Werewolf!

HARPAL: And you don’t think we know that?

THE DOCTOR: She is mutating! If we make her fully Werewolf, then she will stop mutating!

AMY: But then she’d lose the name, she’s just be a wolf.

THE DOCTOR: Exactly.

Harpal walks up to the console followed by Amy.

HARPAL: So you’re saying, eliminate the Werewolf DNA, and make her a wolf. Then what?

THE DOCTOR: Then, nothing!

AMY: Because she’s just a wolf.

THE DOCTOR: I wanted to say that…

HARPAL: But how?

THE DOCTOR: We need to find a cure to lycanthropy…

CUT TO MONIQUE AND RORY. RORY IS SITTING ON THE FLOOR AND MONIQUE IS SITTING ON A BARREL.

MONIQUE: 150 years ago, I saw her turn. I followed her into the woods because I thought she was Queen Victoria. I watched her turn into a wolf. It was horrific.

RORY: I know.

MONIQUE: She couldn’t let me escape, and Werewolves run too fast.

RORY: She caught you?

MONIQUE: And cursed me.

RORY: How?

Monique takes off her jacket to reveal her shoulder. She has a large, bite mark in it. It is red and sore. Rory gasps.

CUT TO THE TARDIS. THERE ARE PILES OF BOOKS EVERYWHERE. THE DOCTOR IS PACING AND AMY AND HARPAL ARE READING.

AMY: Greeks believed in physical activities.

THE DOCTOR: No.

HARPAL: People in Europe thought exorcisms or surgery?

THE DOCTOR: Big no.

AMY: A lot of medieval cures were fatal.

HARPAL: Repeating their Christian name?

THE DOCTOR: No, the only people who bring power to words are Carrionites. You won’t be seeing them anytime soon.

Harpal jumps up.

HARPAL: Aconitum!

AMY: What?

HARPAL: Commonly known as Wolfsbane.

THE DOCTOR: That’s the one!

HARPAL: They’re just a string of plants, will it actually work?

THE DOCTOR: That is solid. Words are flimsy, names, beatings, but flowers have real chemicals, toxins, and chlorophyll.

HARPAL: For photosynthesis.

THE DOCTOR: You’re clued up.

HARPAL: I do go to school.

AMY: In this one it says it doesn’t work.

HARPAL: It’s the safest option. Where do we get it?

AMY: This is the only way we can do it, we have to turn back time.

HARPAL: To the days where the legends of Werewolves existed.

The Doctor runs around flicking levers.

THE DOCTOR: The northern hemisphere! Mountains!

CUT TO MONIQUE AND RORY.

RORY: She bit you?

Monique nods.

RORY: So, this is why you couldn’t say!

MONIQUE: I am her keeper. I have to protect the both of us.

RORY: So, do you turn?

MONIQUE: Not as much as she does. I have more control. She didn’t sink her blood or saliva into my bloodstream, so I have strands of the DNA, but not much.

RORY: Have you turned before?

MONIQUE: When I woke up after she did this. I was so angry, and my emotions flashed through my veins.

RORY: What was it like?

MONIQUE: Horrible but amazing, to be something else, but when I turned human again, I knew that I would never be accepted.

RORY: It’s preserved you like it preserved her? Hasn’t it? You came here with her?

MONIQUE: Yes.

RORY: And we all thought you were born Italian!

They both laugh. They stop suddenly though when they here a howl and footsteps getting closer.

RORY: It’s her, it’s the wolf. We have to go!

They both stand.

MONIQUE: No. You’ve made me realise! She did this to me, and she will pay!

RORY: No!

Monique turns to Rory but we can see that her eyes are yellow, and her veins change colour.

RORY: No! Monique! Don’t!

CUT TO THE TARDIS THE DOCTOR, AMY AND RORY STUMBLE IN HOLDING A BASKET OF ACONITUM.

THE DOCTOR: Right, we need to back to Rory and Monique fast!

The Doctor runs to the console and begins flicking levers.

CUT TO MONIQUE AND RORY. THEY CAN SEE VICTORIA IN HER WOLF FORM IN THE DISTANCE.

MONIQUE: This ends now.

RORY: No! Monique!

THE TARDIS MATERIALISES BEHIND THEM, AND THE DOCTOR STEPS OUT.

THE DOCTOR: What’s happening?

Monique turns she has razor sharp teeth, and hair spreads over her. The Doctor squeals.

Amy and Harpal come out of the TARDIS.

AMY: What’s happening?

RORY: Victoria bit her 150 years ago, and the bite preserved her. She isn’t as lycanthropic as Victoria, so she can control the wolf. She has been her keeper. Now she’s rebelling.

MONIQUE: Stand back!

HARPAL: No you can’t! There must be another way!

MONIQUE: There is! One for you, choose the right one!

HARPAL: What?

AMY: Monique, no!

There is hair all over Monique and her face begins to stretch into a snout.

Victoria comes into stands in front of her.

MONIQUE: (Snarls) No more!

Victoria raises her fist.

MONIQUE: No-

Victoria grabs Monique by the throat and lifts her up.

THE DOCTOR: No!

He runs forward and Amy holds onto Rory.

Victoria squeezes strangling Monique as she screams.

THE DOCTOR: Monique!

Victoria drops Monique on the ground. She is dead.

Victoria snarls at The Doctor, Amy, Rory and Harpal.
