Left outside alone.

Dana's mother got sick and left her alone in a world with guns, cannibals and crazy people. She was 10 years then, now she's 18 . She doesn't trust anyone and has no problem killing. She's not scared and quite strong, but will she survive alone? or will she have to get along and make a group with what she hates the most (people) to stay alive?

11. All eyes on me.

”Some of our men, thought you were…Something else. I want to apologize for the rough treatment. We didn’t mean to hurt you” Eric fiddled with a ring on his finger, a drop of blood from my face dripped down on my shirt.

“Why am I tied?” I asked, making sure to sound as pissed as I was.

“We don’t take any chances, you could be dangerous” He scratched his arm.

“Me?! I don’t see you bleeding from your head or you being f*cking tied with some tight ropes cutting into your flesh. The only danger here is you” I spat at the ground before him. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again.

“What’s your name?” Steven almost barked at me, making me roll my eyes again. What’s his problem?

“My name? It’s not important” I looked deadpanned at him.

“Listen I...” Eric got cut off by a distance voice calling for him. He sighed “Steven get some answer out of her, will you?” a resigned tone made me wonder. Steven nodded, as I looked blank at the door closing after Eric. I snapped back to reality when Steven walked in front of me and cleared his throat, making me jump.

“Your name?” he tried again and shifted the weight on his leg. I looked at him and scoffed.

“Listen you’re probably going to kill me anyway, so I don’t see why my name is so important” I looked sideways up at him and he replied my glare with a grumpy frown.

“Are you bit? Scratched?” he asked. I looked worried at him, Bit?! Scratched?! He straightened his body and grabbed around his hunting knife he’d placed in a sheath. “Are you?” he said loud, fear filling his words.

“I…uhm…no, What do you mean?!” I yelled at him in confusion and squeezed my eyes in pain. My head was throbbing again and I immediately regretted that I had yelled.

“You know… by those pale zombie things?” he growled, looking more confused than I.

“What?!” I whispered, but then the little girl popped up in my mind. “Are they real? The zombies?”

“You don’t know? Well it doesn’t matter right now” he said and shook his head.

“What the hell do you people even want with me?” I asked not caring about my angry tone. He just stared at me with a hopeless expression on his face, like saying ‘I don’t even know’. My vision blurred a little and I could taste some bitter blood as I licked my lips. They’d hit me pretty hard back on the road. “You f*cking morons better have a good reason for making me bleed!” I hissed after some seconds of silence.

“Aw, shut your mouth, who are you? Who are you with?” he spat. I could feel my blood boil; who was he telling me to shut my mouth?

“It’s none of your f*cking business!” I spat back at him leaning forward.

“Yeah?” he walked back and then fast forth again “Well I’m making it my business!” he looked daggers at me. My heart was racing with my adrenalin, and my wrist sore of my attempt to punch him and get away. I was burning up as my low tempered mind just wanted to make my fist collide with his face.

“Whatever…” I leaned back again looking away, still furious “Just let me free jack*ss” his eyes turned glowering on me.

“You wanna get away from here? That’s what you want? Then answer my questions, Doll face!” he snapped and pointed his finger at me. I leaned slowly forth again.

“F*ck. You” I sneered with a dramatic stop in between the words. He stormed to me laying his hands on my face and forcing me to look at him. I could almost feel the anger running out of his fingertips and leaving invisible burn marks on my cheeks. Somehow it made me happy to see this Steven guy angry, and knowing it was because of me just made me even happier. It’s a weird thing to find amusing, but well it’s also a weird world we live in.

“Listen you mouthy little f*ck, I don’t give a damn about you! For me you’re only a stranger and a potential threat to this group. One wrong move and I’ll be happy to kill you, so why don’t you drop that attitude and…-“,

“The f*ck you called me! You son of a-“ I Growled but got cut off.

“You finish that sentence, and I’ll personally!-“, “Personally do what, you f*cking bastard couldn’t even take a piss at night if you had to!-“, “You don’t know shit about me! so you better-“

“STOP!” Eric stormed through the metal door “Both of you just stop! Man,I- I could hear you two yelling miles away! W-what’s going on?” he said trying to catch his breath, he’d obviously been running.

Steven was still standing close to me with his icy blue eyes drilled into mine; I stared into them without flinching. He moved away slowly, walked to Eric, and whispered something in his ear. He did all of this with his eyes still locked on mine. I frowned at him just before he left the room. My blood was still boiling by the time Steven had left and my headache didn’t exactly help.

Eric walked to me aggressively and I could almost smell his exhaustion. I couldn’t put my finger on it but something seemed off about him, like his mind was somewhere else. The absence and tied look in his eyes told me that something definitely had happened. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be nosey in this situation, I think I’ll stay out of this one. He pulled his knife out and I could feel the fear pull in my veins but the anger was still running slightly through them too. My mixed emotions blocked my thinking and the only thing I did was close my eyes. His steps stopped right behind me, and I took one long last breath.
