Teenage Dirtbag

"As I waited, I saw the most beautiful girl in the world walking in with her friends. She had a skirt and a T-Shirt with Keds and knee high socks. She looked my direction and looked back to her other gorgeous friend. Just then a big, broad guy with a football jersey came up to her and kissed her. On the lips. Something I have never done and probably never will." Will matters get worse when people start to find out his big secret? Or start to die down as a girl comes in his life? 7. No promises

The next morning I woke up with a killer headache. I got dressed went in the kitchen to eat a protein bar.

"Hey honey!" My mom said cheerfully.

"Hey mom..." I moaned.

"You haven't been the same since yesterday, sweety," Mom said, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," I stated.

"You can tell me," She said comfortingly.

"Well... there's this boy... and-" I started but I got cut off by my dad.

"There's always a boy!" My dad yelled.

"I'm sorry. It's just this is a special boy-" But I got cut off again.

"Which one is it this time? You have a new one every week!" He screamed.

"Are you calling me a player?" I asked.

"No, i'm calling you a slut who gets everything handed to her. Literally." He yelled. I couldn't help but slap him in the face. Tears ran down my face and I said something I didn't want to.

"I hate you!" I screamed. I grabbed my purse and backpack while running for my car. When I got to the school parking lot, I re-did my makeup and went inside. I walked to my usual table and sat down. Daniel wasn't there yet but I think he will show up later today.

"Hey Chloe!" Miranda squealed.

"Hey Miranda," I said not as giddy.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"My dad again." I said in a usual tone.

"Oh... He needs a good boot up his ass!" She said laughing.

"That'd be nice!" I said chuckling.

At the end of the day, Daniel still wasn't here and it was English class.

"Chloe? Where's your partner?" Mrs. Scott asked.

"I don't know... he's not here today." I said.

"Hum... I wonder where he is. It's not a good way to start off at new school by being absent." She said knowingly.

"You're right." I said. I couldn't help but think that the reason he is absent was because of me. I tried to get more information about our topic, but I couldn't get that much because I didn't understand if we were doing the essay, power-point, or movie.

"Having difficulty?" Miranda asked laughing.

"Ugh, yes!" I replied, "It's difficult to do this on my own."

"Well where is your little nerd, huh?" She asked. I got more defensive than I should have.

"He's not my 'nerd'. He's my friend," I spoke in a stern voice.

"Why are you even friends with that weirdo? He's not like us. He's different." She snapped.

"And maybe that's why I like him." I shot. I grabbed my stuff and started to walk out but Miranda stopped me.

"Just don't fall for him OK?" She said with sympathy. She put her hand on my shoulder, but I quickly shook it off.

"No promises." I snapped while I finished walking out.
