Are You my Father?

"I'm your... daughter"
My mom died when I was 10, I was put into foster care. I finally found my dad, but what happens if he doesn't want me?

45. Chapter 43

I didn't stop until I was far...far from that field. Finally when I did stop...I threw up once again. As I stood there wiping my mouth off, something caught my attention from the corner of my eye. I stood still as my head slowly turned to see a tire swing sitting on a tree branch. A smile crossed my face as I walked up to it. Sitting down onto it, it started spinning without me doing anything. I sat there laughing and smiling as it turned round and round. Different colored trees and leaves swirled in my vision as they blurred into one big mess. My laugh echoed through the trees. It was starting to get dark when I got there, now it was pitch black. I smiled the entire way home. How I knew which way to walk...I don't know, but my feet carried me in one direction...;)...and I finally ended up home. As I opened the door to the house, only the kids were home. Jason and Kale rounded on me while Hannah took Lilly into a different. I got asked a million times where I was, why I wasn't at school. I told them that I wasn't feeling good so I walked home. They didn't seem to take the bait, but they finally allowed me up to my room. I knew that they had heard me in the middle of the night.

"Please don't say anything," Escaped my mouth before I could stop it. They both looked at each other, then back at me, both of them understanding exactly what I meant. Finally they both nodded and went into the loving room to finish watching their soccer match. I hated having two "older" brothers. Why I say "older" is because Kale is actually a day younger than me. He was born on the 17th of May, I was born on the 16th. Kirsten always told me how awesome it was that I was born on the 16th, since it was her favorite number of all time. Emily would listen and just laugh along with me each time it was said. When I got into my room I locked the door and clicked the surface keyboard into my tablet. I opened YouTube and watched Gabriel Iglesias videos until it was time for dinner. I went down and ate quickly, then came back up. Exhausted from the long day I instantly fell asleep.

I ditched again, not being able to see both Jasper and Dustin in the same place, not being able to face either of them. I walked back into the forest in search of the tire swing wearing dark blue skinny jeans, a gray, 3/4 sleeve shirt, my aqua toms, and an aqua infinity scarf with multi-colored branches with birds perched on them. My hair was straightened and pulled up into a ponytail with a braid starting at the side of my head and forming a small braid within the ponytail. My make up was very simple. I finally found the swing. When I had last been here, it was starting to become dark, this time I could see where I was clearly. The tree was nestled in a little clearing, the ground dipped into a small bowl shape, leaves covering the banks. I smiled as I settled down on the swing once again. I didn't know what it was about this place, this swing, made me happy. I didn't know what was so fun bout it, but it was just the most fun, most carefree time I've had in a while. As I spun round and round I let the shapes and colors blur into one again. Once again my laughter bounced off the trees and echoed through the sky. So loud...that I didn't hear the footsteps crunch over the fallen leaves. I closed my eyes as I felt the sensation of spinning take over me. It didn't make me dizzy, but it made me feel like I was flying. When I opened my eyes again the scene was different. Instead of the colors of fallen leaves and trees, there was a grey spot in my vision that repeated over and over. I gasped when I recognized the shape of a person. My feet slammed into the ground as I tried to stop myself. When I finally did, the world spun slightly around me. When it cleared a figure stood there, bout ten feet in front of me. My breath hitched as I recognized the face. Issac. The chilled wind blew round his blondish hair, his blue eyes sparkling with amusement. A smirk crossed his face at my expression. He wore a gray t-shirt and gray sweatpants. Red sneakers were on his feet.

"What you doin on my tire swing Rose?" He asked, laughing lightly. My eyes were wide, mouth open, my body frozen. I didn't know what to say, what to do... My mouth opened and closed as I fought for words.

"I-I-sac-c," Finally stuttered out of my mouth. His smirk grew bigger as the heat flushed to my cheeks. Way to go Rose. He motioned for me to continue. I swallowed hard, trying to get the lump in my throat to go away. Nothing came to my mind to say...nothing at all. I swallowed harder. "I-I f-found-d it...I-I d-didn't know it w-was y-your's..." He chuckled at my nervousness. The red in my cheeks darkened.

"I don't mind that you're here actually. I kinda wanted to talk," It was his turn to be nervous as he looked at the ground and shrugged. He shuffled the leaves round with his foot as he glanced up from underneath the shaggy hair that hung into his face.

"Really?" I asked. He nodded and walked over to me. He grabbed the top of the tire and spun it slightly, just enough so my back was to him. My breath stuttered, my heart skipping a beat at not being able to see what he was bout to do, what he was bout to say. Slowly his hands met my back, and he pushed my forward slightly. I smiled as he began lightly pushing me back and forth on the swing. His voice finally cut through the silent air.

"Dustin told me that you threw up in class last week..." I froze, he must not have felt it cause he continued to push me. "...I just wanted to tell you that if you're's not because of me...I used a condom," I nodded slowly, not knowing what to do. "...It's between Jasper and Dustin now..." He whispered, barley loud enough for me to hear. With those words my feet hit the ground with such force that Issac almost fell over. His hands still on my back, bout to push me again. He stopped himself before he fell and stood back up again. "What the..." But, I cut him off.

"How'd you know bout that?" I almost growled at him. His chuckled echoed through the quiet air.

"Rose...Dustin doesn't have secrets with me. I could tell before he even told me. Plus I was the one that took the picture of you and Jasper...I knew it was just a matter of time..." The last part was almost a malicious whisper. My mind flashed back to that day where the picture was posted on the wall. '...we don't need 3 babies from you ;)...' Those evil words printed on that poster. I shook my head to clear the thought. I slipped out of the swing and rounded on him.

"You..." I growled. I had always knew it was him, I just didn't ever get my revenge for it. He put his hands up in surrender.

"Woah...I thought you had gotten over that..." He said, a confused look taking over his face. I slapped him in response. His eyes looked hateful as he turned to look back at me...I didn't care. He took a handful of my hair and pulled me to the ground. He bent down and spat in my face, "You're lucky I won't hurt a pregnant girl," With that he stood back up and began to walk away. Before he could disappear into the trees he turned back and shouted at me, "By the way Dustin was so upset he left...he wasn't home last night, he ran away and no one can find him. Thanks Rose," He spit the last part over his shoulder as he continued walking away. Shock came upon my face as I slowly stood up. Brushing off the leaves on me, I turned to walk away too. Shock coming over my entire body made it impossible to shed a single tear. I walked back home with one thing echoing in my mind. '...It's between Jasper and Dustin now...' But, the thing wasn't between them at all. Issac used did Jasper...that left one person. Dustin was the father...
