29. I have wanted

Harrys POV.

"Jess?" I don’t think I realized how nervous I was until I heard my voice. My tone shook, mimicking my hands.

"Yeah?" Unlike my hoarse voice, hers was soft and smooth, like a baby’s bottom.

"I...can…we uh talk?" I asked, my breathe hitched in my throat. What if she said no?

"Please?" I added, feeling like I was going to collapse from nerves.

Taking me by surprise, my cousin nodded slowly and I breathed a long sigh of relief.

I slowly reach for her hand. Our fingers brush against each other’s and I stay frozen for a moment, I hardly remember the rush I get from touching her, let alone kissing her. My blood heats up and I ignore the shock that flew up my left arm when I slid my hand into hers. I pulled her into another spare room in my basement; it was nothing, a T.V. with a small sofa and a miniature coffee table.

We sat down and my eyes locked with hers. I could tell she was nervous as well from the look in her eyes.

“I love you!” I blurted out, the tension shattered from my confession.

Her eyes widened and she stared down at her hands before looking me straight in the eyes.

“I love you too, Harry.”

“But…but wha? You…what?”  I must’ve been imagining her talking.

She smiled. “I do love you, but that doesn’t mean I’m not mad. You really hurt my feelings.” Her smile faded. “But you’ve been there for me, Harry, when no one else was. You stood by me and I love you for that. Nobody can change the fact that I’m extremely grateful to you whatever our terms may be. You didn’t go with them. You loved me when I hated myself and I really love you for that, Harry.” With that she finished her speech and I bit my lip. I couldn’t stop the tears and I didn’t even bother trying to.

“Please, Jess, I am sorry. I love you more than anything. Please forgive me?” I pleaded with her, grabbing her hand.

“You’re forgiven.” She giggled, leaning up and pecking me softly on the lips.

“Really?” I beamed.

“Really.” She smiled widely and I burst out laughing just from complete utter happiness.

“I’m sorry, Harry.” She breathed.

“What are you sorry for?” I asked, puzzled.

“I’m sorry for dragging this on; I should’ve forgiven you a long time ago.”

“Don’t worry about that, love. It’s my fault, what I did to you a few days ago was completely uncalled for and wrong and I just hate myself for even thinking of doing that to you. I was so drunk, Jess. I’ll have you know, though, if a guy ever touches my baby cousin like that he won’t live to see your beauty again.”

“That’s harsh.” She chuckled and I laughed.

“Jess? I’ve wanted to do this to you for a long, long time.” I breathed.

“What is it, Harry?” She whispered.

And with that, I pulled her onto my lap, grabbed her cheeks tightly and pressed my lips to hers in a long passionate kiss.
