17. What I’m Hungry

Harry’s POV

Me and the lads were in our hotel room watching some football, when I got a text from Luke. “Hey Harry, I’m heading back to the house if you want to come over.” I thought about it for a minute then replied with. “Hey, yeah I’ll be right over.” He replied back within the minute. “Ok see ya later.” I then got up from my spot on the sofa and said to the lads, “I’ll be back later, I’m going for a drive.” I walked to the door of the hotel room and turned the handle. “Where are you going?” Niall asked me. “No where.. just going to go for a drive.” I said opening the door. “Are you getting food? Don’t hold out on me bro!” “I’m not, but if I do stop, I will get you something.” “OKAY! Thanks!” He said like a five-year old. I walked out the door and to the elevator. I hit the button with the arrow that pointed down. Soon the elevator came and the doors opened up revealing the small empty metal room. I stepped inside the little room, then hit the other button that had a L on it. I stood in the room for a few minutes, since the floor I was on was 7. Again the doors opened and I stepped out. I made my way out of the building and to the side of the street. I called for a cab and one soon came over to me. I got into the back seat and told the driver where I wanted to go.

*Skip Car Ride*

The driver pulled up to a little two story house. I payed the man and got out of the yellow car. As soon as I had closed the door he sped away. I walked up to the white door and knocked. I heard shuffling on the other side of the door before it swung open. In front of me stood a boy that looked like Carter just in boy form and a bit taller. “You must be Harry. Nice to meet you.” He said sticking his hand out. “And you must be Luke. Nice to meet you as well.” I said shaking his hand. “Come on in.” Luke said stepping out of the way, so I could walk in. “Here I’ll show you where Carter is.” he said. I followed him down a hall and into the kitchen. He was about to open the door when his phone started ringing. I looked out the window and saw Carter messing around with a football. “Hey I’ll be right back I have to take this.” Luke said while backing out of the room. I then opened the door and stood there for a minute watching her. “You know playing by yourself is can be hard.” I yelled out to her. She dropped the ball and snapped her head my way.

She looked confused like she wasn’t sure if she was seeing right. “W-what are y-you doing here?” She stuttered. “Well if I recall, you told me that if I wanted to find you I would have to track you down. That’s what I did… Sort of.” I said while walking out to where she was standing. She picked up the black and white soccer ball then turned her head toward me. “I’m not going anywhere.” she said. She then started walking over to an old shed that was farther back in the yard. “What do you mean you're not going anywhere?” “I mean I’m not leaving here, and you can’t make me.” she snapped at me, while opening the shed in the process. “Well, sorry to burst your little bubble, but you’re coming with me and you have no choice.”

Carter’s POV

“Well sorry to burst your little bubble, but you’re coming with me and you have no choice.” He said said sternly. I just rolled my eyes and walked into the shed. He followed close behind me as I walked over to a light in the dark room. I flipped on the light switch and soon you could see all the different type of sport items. I walked over to a bin that consists of soccer balls and the one ball that I threw in with the others. I then walked over to a little bench and took a sit so I could take off my runners that I was wearing. “I’m. Not. Going. With. You.” I said, irritated. I stood up and picked up my runners. I started to head for the shed door when Harry grabbed my forearm. “You p-play all these sports?” He asked sounding a little shocked. “Yeah, I play all them. Softball, football, soccer, baseball, lacrosse, tennis, volleyball, extra.” I said shaking him off my arm. I turned the light off and walked out. I waited for Harry to come out but he was still in the same spot. “You comin?” I said to him. He shook his head then walked out. I closed up the shed and started to make my way in the house with Harry on my tail.

I walked into the kitchen and saw Luke making a sandwich. “Hey make me one while you're at it.” I said to Luke as I dropped my shoes by the door. He just rolled his eyes then said “Sure. Do you want one Harry?” “Sure.” Harry replied. I then walked over to the fridge and grabbed two water bottles. I turned around a put one by Luke then turned to Harry. “Water?” I asked him while shaking the one that I was holding a little. “Okay.” He replied. I grabbed another one from the fridge then turned back to him. “Heads.” I said to him as I tossed him the bottle. I then closed the fridge door with my foot, while I opened my water bottle. "Thanks" he said faintly. I took a swig of water and put the cap back on. I walked over to Luke and took a slice of turkey. “Really?” Luke said as I took another slice. “What. I’m hungry.” I said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Luke just smiled while I took a piece of cheese. “Okay, food is ready!” Luke yelled.

*After Eating*

Luke had gone upstairs to take a shower, while Harry and I cleaned the plates. “Listen... you have to come back with me. I told your dad that I would take care of you.” He whined. I just kept on cleaning, pretending that I didn’t hear him. “Carter?” I just looked down at my hands that were covered in bubbles from the soap. I gave him the plate that I had in my hands. “Carter, you are going to have to talk to me sooner or later.” He said, annoyed. “I pick later.” I said, grabbing the kitchen towel and drying my hands. I walked out of the kitchen and plopped myself on the couch. Harry soon came in and sat down on the opposite side of the the couch. We just sat there in silence, till Harry's phone beeped loudly. He took out his phone and read what was on the screen. Luke then came bouncing down the stairs, over to me and sat on me. I heard Harry chuckling so I looked over to see that he was looking at us trying to hold back  a laugh. I just huffed and said "Just let it out Harry!" making him and Luke burst out laughing. For once I felt like we were a family.
