33. Plane Rides and Friends

Carter’s POV

We were about to land in Charlotte and Niall was asleep on my shoulder. I shook him a little until he came to. “Why did you wake me up?” He said in his morning voice. I looked at his frowning face and answered him. “We’re about to land.” I whispered him. He nodded his head and moved so he was sitting up right in his chair. He was rubbing his tired eyes and the lights turned on telling us to re-fasten our seat belts. I glanced around the plane to try to spot everyone. I saw Harry and Louis a few rows behind us, then I saw Zayn and Liam a few rows in front of us. The plane started to make its decent and we soon touched ground.

We soon got off the plane and were waiting for Harry and Louis to come off. While waiting I pulled out my phone and sent a group text to Blake and Jacob.

To: Baker, Cobber

Just landed! When will I see you dudes?!

I sent the text and waited for one of them to reply. Someone snaked their hands around my waist and I my body jerked. “Sorry princess, Didn’t mean to scare you.” Niall said while putting his head on my shoulder. “Who are you texting?” He asked. “My friends that live here in Charlotte.” I told him while glancing at my phone. Just then my phone went off telling me I had a text. I unlocked my phone and read the text.

From: Cobber

As soon as you tell us where you are staying so we can pick you up!

“Who’s Cobber?” Niall asked, looking down at my phone. “Remember Jacob from the wedding?" I turned around and asked him. He nodded his head on my shoulder. "Well Cobber is his nickname." I looked down at my phone again. "Oh." was all Niall said. My phone went off again but this time it was Blake.

I'm picking Jacob up right now text us when u get to ur hotel!!!!

I decided that I would text them back real quick.

To: Baker, Cobber

K! Talk to u guys soon! :D

I typed quickly and sent it. I looked up from my phone and started looking for the two others that we where missing. I soon saw Harry and Louis walking out from the crowd of people. We made our way out of the airport and we found the car. We all loaded into the car and we were soon off.

We pulled up to the hotel and I got out my phone to text Blake and Jacob. I didn’t need to look for a sign saying the name of the hotel, because I knew this hotel, it was one of the nicest hotels in Charlotte. I sent a text to Blake and Jacob then got out of the car, since we had parked and everyone was getting out. I got a text back saying that they were on their way to get me. We walked into the hotel and Paul walked over to the front desk to check us in. I walked over to one of the sofas that was in the lobby and sat down. My phone vibrated in my hand. I looked down at it and saw that it was a text from Blake.

From: Baker

On our way to get you! Should be there in 10!

I smiled at the text. Niall came and sat beside me. “Why so smiley?” He asked leaning on me. “Blake and Jacob are on their way to pick me up.” I smiled brightly. “Leaving me with these idiot's are you?” He asked getting off of me and looking at me with puppy eyes. “Sorry. But I think you will survive.” I said, patting him on the back. He just started laughing which made me laugh. Nothing made me more happy than to hear his laugh. Paul walked over and handed me the key to the room that I would be staying at. We went up to our rooms and I just threw my bags on the bed then pulled out a pair of shorts and a different shirt along with some flip-flops.

I quickly got changed and ran out of the room and down the hall to the elevator. I waited  impatiently until finally the doors opened. I was in the elevator when I got a text from Blake saying that they were outside. As soon as the metal doors opened I ran out, through the lobby, and out the doors. I saw Jacob’s older brother, Mike’s pick-up truck and ran over. I climbed in the bed of the truck then hit beside the little window that was on the back. “Where're we going?” I asked through the little window that was open. “Where do you think?” Jacob said. “Umm.” I put my hand on my chin like I was thinking hard, even though I knew what we were going to do.

We drove to one of our favorite restaurants. Jacob’s older brother pulled up outside and I jumped out from the truck bed as they got out from the car. We walked in through the doors and were soon seated at our table. Our waiter came over and started to flirt with me. “Hi I’ll be your waiter today. Can I take your drink orders?” He asked. We then told him what we wanted to drink. “My name is David if you need anything.” He said ‘anything’ looking right at me. He then walked anyway and I just rolled my eyes. “I’ll be right back.” Blake said while standing up. He walked off to the restroom. David came back with our drinks. “I’ll give you guys a few minutes.” He said while winking at me then walked away. “Can you pass the salt.” I asked Jacob. He gave me a look, that I had seen a million times before, that said. ‘What are you going to do?’ But he passed me the salt nevertheless. I picked up the salt and put some in Blake’s water that he had ordered. I passed the salt back to Jacob and he was trying to hold in his laughter. I raised my eyebrows up and down and smiled, and he shook his head at me like I was crazy. He put the salt back and we started talking about what we should do today. Blake came back and sat down. David walked back over once again and smiled at me. “What can I get you guys today?” He asked us. We ordered our usual food that we got here and I was just waiting for Blake to drink his salty water. David left but not without winking at me… again. After waiting for a bit, David brought our food out and again… He winked at me.

We were just about done with our meals and Blake had a sip of his water, his face was priceless! He crumpled his face in disgust as David came back by and handed me the check. “I get off at 5 if you want to go out.” He whispered to me, then walked away. I looked over at Blake and Jacob that where trying not to laugh. I ripped off his phone number and grabbed the check. I stood up from the table and started making my way up to the cashier, who turned out to be David. Oh yay… “Hey.” He said in a 'sweet' voice. I rolled my eyes. I handed him the check and he started typing on the screen that was in front of him. “That will be $21.46” He said. I handed him the money and he gave me the reseat. “Oh! Hey, can you throw this away for me?” I asked putting his phone number on the counter then walked out of the restaurant. I walked over to a bench and sat down waiting for the two nimrods to come out. They soon did and we started our adventure.
