8. I'm Having a Hard Time Believing That

Niall’s POV

We all had gotten changed for dinner, and were just waiting for Carter, Louis and Gemma. We were talking about football at the moment. Gemma came down and sat by Harry. She had on a light blue dress with blue high heels. Her brown hair was up in a bun with some strands hanging out in the front.

Louis came running down the stairs. He ran in and told us to come to the bottom of the stairs. We all got up and walked to the stairs. Louis then yelled up to Carter. I looked up the stairs to see a beautiful Carter. I watched her as she came downstairs. I think I might have started drooling a bit.

“Well? How do I look?” she asked, once she made it down the steps. “You look beautiful. If you only dressed like this every day.” John told her. "Thanks dad" she said with a smile that looked a little fake. "Okay so we are going to have to take separate cars. Carter, Harry, Niall, Jacob, and Blake in one car. Then everyone else can come in the van with us." I looked over at Carter as John said this, she looked relieved. Blake and Jacob walked over to Carter and they rapped their arms together and walked out. We all followed them out to the cars.

Harry was driving, I was in the passengers seat, and Carter was in the middle with Jacob on her right and Blake on her left. I turned on the radio and 'What Makes You Beautiful' was playing. I looked over at Harry and he looked back at me for a second, then looked back to the road. Harry and I started singing and I could hear giggling coming from the back. I turned around to see Carter trying to keep in her laughter but failing a little, with little sounds coming out. I started singing louder and Harry did also. Carter was trying so hard not laugh. Blake and Jacob started singing along just as loud as us. That's when Carter couldn't hold it in anymore. She burst out laughing and didn't stop till the song was over, which I didn't mind at all. "And… you gu... Guys are fam... Famous for si-singing?" Carter was trying to get it out but had a little trouble, due to  laughing. "Yeah we are famous for singing." I said laughing a little. "Well I'm having a hard time believing that right now." She said. Harry and I gasped like we were shocked she said that. The next song came on and it was a 'Turn Up the Music' by Chris Brown. I turned down the song. That made me laugh, because of the name of the song. We all started singing to the songs that came on the radio till we pulled up to the restaurant.

Harry parked the car and we all got out. It looked like it was an Italian restaurant. We saw everyone else at the front door of the place so we walked up to them. "Hi, I have a reservation for Thompson." John said to the lady at the front. "Ah yes seating for 11, correct?" " Yes that's right." " Right this way" she said, picking up menus. We followed her to our table and took our seats. Zayn was on my right and Carter was on my left. I was looking at my menu when I felt Zayn lean on me laughing. I looked over at him, then at Harry who was laughing as well. I looked back down at my menu. "Hi my name is Jessica, I'll be waitress tonight. Can I get you all anything to drink?" Our waitress asked everyone. Everyone gave her their drink orders, "Okay I'll have those right out." Said said, then walked to get our drinks. I figured out what I wanted to order, then joined the conversation that was going on.

Carter's POV

I was talking to Blake, who was sitting across from me, about sports. We were talking about football (soccer if you don’t live in the US) Blake was talking to me about one player that he thought was amazing, but I thought otherwise. “He’s a good runner for the game but he’s not the best player.” I said to to him. “What are you lads talking about?” Louis asked us. “A football player Blake thinks is amazing.” I said to louis. “Oooh what team does he play for?” “He’s on the Panthers team.” I said, answering his question. “Really? I would think I would have heard of their team.” He said. That’s when it hit me. “I know why you haven’t heard of them.” “Why?” We are talking about American football, not British football.” I said laughing at the end. “That makes sense now.” Louis said, smiling.

After we were done eating, we all sat there for awhile, chatting. Soon it was time to go back to the house. We did the same arrangement from before. On the back to the house we had the radio playing. And we were singing to the songs again. By the time we got to the house, we were laughing like crazy. We walked into the house and everyone went to the living room and talked. After about an hour, I went upstairs and got ready for bed.
