3. Ch.3

I decided to wear something different than I usually do. I slipped on a fitting blue dress with white high-heeled shoes. Not provocative, neither cute. I curled my hair and sprayed some perfume on my neck. Black liquid eyeliner and mascara. Usually, I don't wear lipstick or lip gloss.

I slowly opened the door and glanced around to see if my mom was awake. It was about 10:30pm. Late, I know, but after the festival everyone goes to a club or a party at someones flat since it's Saturday the next day. I never went to the club or party. That will change. Today...

I called a taxi to come and pick me up. I waited a little while outside until the cab parked in front of the house. I quickly got in and told the driver where to go. If mom wakes up, she will think I ran away, because I have tried once before. I had nowhere to go so I decided to come back. About five police cars were in front of the house. Two of the cops were talking to my mom. From then, I never tried to run away again, because I got beaten really badly. I could hardly remember anything.

As we arrived at the festival I paid the driver and got out. I took out my phone and dialed Christina. She should be somewhere around here.

"Are you here?" she said the moment she answered the phone. "Yes. Where are you?" I asked.

"By the kissing booth." I laughed. The kissing booth was a place where people make out for charity. I would never do that. I wouldn't be surprised if Christina volunteers. I glanced around searching for the kissing booth. I spotted Christina almost immediately. She was talking to Kyle. One of the guys' in Harry's jail. Rosie, Mike and Stephanie were there too. No Harry? I walked up to them. Christina turned around and smiled.

"Hey Lau-," she checked out my outfit. "...ren," she finished. Her face full of surprise. Maybe, cause I never wore this dress. Or maybe, cause I never wore a dress. Honestly, I am pretty happy with my outfit tonight. As I joined in the conversation I heard a loud noise of glass break behind me. I turned around to see Harry collecting pieces of glass from the ground. "Oh no don't!" I yelled. He looked up at me confused. "Just leave it there. Do you know what's gonna happen if you get cut? You get infected and they have to cut your fingers!" I exclaimed. I realized what I just did. I should've let him get cut. The asshole deserve it. Why am I such a nice ass?

"Why do you care?" he murmured meanly. He is right. Why do I care? Well, I don't. I didn't answer him, instead I followed Christina so I can get out of the awkward situation. I felt Harry's stare after me, but I ignored it.

The festival was really fun. We ate some popcorn, there were fireworks as well. It was really cool. Now everyone was heading to Stephanie's flat. She is having a party and all of us are invited. I might go as well. Ten times better than go back home. If you can call it a home. It's hell I would say. My sister was at grandma's house and my 'so-called' mom and my step dad aren't arguing. That's better for me cause then I won't receive all consequences.

"Come on I'll drive you," Stephanie offered us. She was actually pretty nice. I nodded and she unlocked her car. Me and Christina got in. I sat on the front, and Christina at the back.

We arrived at her flat about ten minutes later. As we got in, everyone was already dancing and drinking. "Is that how all parties are?" I asked. There were a couple of guys and girls who were making out, others were outside smoking. I spotted Harry and Peter at the bar. I feel like Peter is always with Harry. He doesn't have a life or what?

"Yep, even worse, but don't worry. Just enjoy it," she smiled and walked over to Mike. I turned around to see if Christina is still behind me. She has already began partying without me. She was with some guys dancing. I giggled and walked over to the bar. I sat on the counter and ordered a drink I thought sounded less alcoholic. Peter walked away and I notice Harry coming over to me. He sat on the chair next to me.

"You look so sexy today," he yelled since I couldn't hear him from the loud music. Is he drunk already? Yesterday I was an awkward girl, now I'm sexy? I laughed and took a sip from my drink. Guess I was wrong for the less alcoholic thing. "Are you nuts? I guess you need your pills," I snapped. He giggled and walked away. Good. I hope he's pissed.

As I stood up everything was rotating and my sight got blurry. Was I drunk?. I slowly walked outside and sat on the bench. I took off my shoes and sighed.

"First time drunk, huh?" someone asked me. I tilted my head to see curly git seated next to me. I groaned. "Really Harold? I didn't know. Can you just leave me alone? I don't feel like arguing with you now," I said.

"Fine." He walked away. Thank god. I stood up and walked back inside. I searched for Christina, but she wasn't here. How dare her, she left me alone? I took another drink as someone clapped their hands.

"Alright everyone, let's play truth or dare," the guy yelled and everyone cheered. All guests sat forming a circle. I sat between Stephanie and Kyle since they are basically the only nice people in here. Harry was right in front of me. I didn't dare to look at him since I know that he will be smirking evilly at me all the time. For no reason. Like he was about to attack me or something.

Luckily, the game ended and no one picked on me. I tried to walk out of the house, but my feet were crossing and I was swaying left to right. I giggled at the same time without knowing what's going on. Christina was with me in even worse situation then mine. She was laughing like crazy rolling on the floor. I leaned on the wall to take a break. I felt my knees getting weak and my eyelids slightly closing. I sat on the couch and felt my self fall asleep with every second.
