My Step Brother

"Our parents...they don't have to know. We can be a secret." Louis said, coming closer and closer to me and moved back until I reached the wall. Louis was right in front of me; his hand resting right next to my head.
"But- what if they, you know, find out?" I asked, my voice shaking due to how close Louis was.
"They won't. It'll just be our little secret" Louis said, his face inching towards mine.
"Works for me" I said, grabbing his head and pulling his head in to kiss him.

35. Chapter 35

3 days.

It's been 3 whole days and I still haven't seen Amber. No texts. No calls. Nothing. I'd have thought she'd be back in our hotel room, or at least Julia's by now. I've called her 258 times. Yes, I counted. It's not as if I had anything better to do when she's not here next to me.

I tried my luck again. I picked up my phone and clicked on her contact. I brought the phone up to my ear. It's ringing, at least. After a couple of minutes hearing the same ring tone, I heard a voice. An automated voice. The one that has grown to become my second worst enemy (my first being Jake obviously but I'd rather not talk about him now)

"The person you are trying to call is currently unavailable right now. Please-" I disconnected the phone.

I need to find Amber. I need her in my arms, where I know she's safe. She said that's she broken up with me. My mind doesn't allow that piece of information to enter my heart, I refuse to believe it's true. I love her so much. I know she loves me too...or well I thought she did.

Amber hates violence. So I guess from her point of view, me beating the daylights out of her so called 'friend' didn't exactly put me in her good books.

I sat myself on the bed, running my hands through my hair in frustration. I held my head in my hands and sighed. Amber has no idea what she's doing to me. I haven't been out of my room for 3 days, I haven't showered, eaten. I've not done anything except tried to call her. Suddenly, my phone started ringing, out of nowhere, making me jump up at the loud noise. I know it's not Amber. If it was then our song would be playing as my ringtone, not the annoying default one.

"Hello?" I said, into my phone.

No sound.

"Hello? May I know who's calling?" I said into the phone.

All I heard was heavy breathing.

"Sorry, you must have got the wrong number" I said, hanging up.

Just then, there was a knock on my door. I reluctantly forced myself up to open it. Outside, Julia was standing.

"Louis... we need to talk." She said, pushing me into the room. She strolled into my room adn sat on one of the chairs.

When I didn't say anything in return, she continued, "Louis, I know how much you love Amber. I can clearly see that. But if you want her back, then you have to go out and find her. You need to remind her how much you love her." She said.

"But Paris is a massive place. How the hell do we find her? She could be anywhere. Even with J-" I stopped myself before I could bring myself to say those words which have been haunting me for the past couple of days.

"We need to start somewhere Lou. I've actually got a friend in Paris. She works in Starbucks."(A/N Yes, Paris DOES have Starbucks. Ok, moving on...)

"And that helps me how....?" I said, not catching onto her point.

"You didn't let me finish. She's got a brother who is a detective. He can track down Amber's phone. Apparently, you can track down anyone's phone in Paris as long as you have their number." Julia said.

My head shot up to Julia's face. Is she for real?

"Y-You m-mean, I can get my A-Amber back?" I said, giddily like a boy on Christmas day.

"Yes, Louis. C'mon let's go and meet her. Her name's Abby Louise. But everyone calls her Abby." Julia said, walking out of the door. I followed her and closed the door behind me.

We got into a taxi while Julia was telling the taxi driver the location of the Starbucks that we were going to. I took my phone in my hands and clicked onto the photos icon. I tapped on Amber's face. She's so beautiful. I can't believe I let her slip through my fingers.

"We're here, Lou" Julia said, snapping me out of the trance that the picture put me in.

"Ok"I said, getting out. The Starbucks here is massive but right now, I couldn't care less. I followed Julia inside while she walked up to a girl behind the counter.

"Julia? Is that you?" The girl behind the counter squealed. She had dark brown wavy hair with deep blue eyes. She was around 5"5.

"Hi, Abby!!!" Julia said, flinging her arms around Abby. I didn't know what to do, except stand awkwardly behind the girls.

"Abby, this is-" Julia began. But I guess Abby beat her to it.

"LOUIS TOMLINSON!!!" She shouted. My eyes widened when it suddenly grew quiet around me. All pairs of eyes were staring at me. After the fact that 1/5 Direction was standing right in front of them sunk in, all the girls started fan girling and screaming. They all ran to me. Shit.

Before I could warn the other girls, I had already started to run out. I looked behind me, to see that the mob of teenage girls were still running after me. Abby and Julia were right behind me.

I didn't even know where I was going. I just kept running straight; the mob of girls only growing larger in number by the minute. I was beginning to get out of breath but miraculously the girls weren't. Wow, I really need to work out more.

I stopped running when I saw a thin dark alley that was in between 2 shops. I ran into that and tried to camouflage myself within the darkness. I pulled the 2 girls in with me as well. Once I saw the mob of girls run straight ahead, not realising that I was had turned to the left and into the alley way, I let out a deep sigh.

"That was close" I whispered to myself.

"I'm sorry" Abby said, looking guiltily at the floor.

"S'okay" I replied.

"So are you going to explain?" Abby said, turning to face Julia.

I blocked myself out while Julia was explaining what had happened to Abby. I didn't need to hear about Amber leaving me a second time. I couldn't even handle the first one. I saw Abby's eyes grow in shock and pity.

"Do you think you could help?" I said, trying not to sound desperate but right now I couldn't care less if I sounded like a wounded puppy.

"I'll ask my brother. Right now, he's gone out of the country. He'll come back by tomorrow noon though." Abby said.

"Ok" I sighed. I know I should be grateful and stuff that she's offering to help me find her but right now, I'd only be grateful once Amber is safe in my arms.

"I guess I'll see you around then Abby." Julia said, waving bye to Abby as we walked back to our taxi in silence.

"Yeah, bye. So I'll meet up with you guys along with my brother tomorrow at 12 at your hotel right?" She said confirming.

"Yeah"  Julia replied briefly.

We got into the taxi that was going straight to our hotel. I took out my phone again and just lost myself in the pictures of Amber that I had managed to take, without her knowing. She doesn't know she's beautiful.

I got out of the car and walked straight up to my hotel room. I slammed the door in frustration. I took out my phone again. Maybe I should just try one last time before I go to bed.

I clicked on her contact and it started to ring. What am I doing? I'm just getting my hoped up for nothing. It's not like she'll-

"Hello" A voice that I never wanted to hear said into the phone.
