Trust Me.

Alissa doesn't live in a very good neighbourhood. People fight, hurt each other and do drugs. Alissa's father doesn't want to live here but he doesn't have a choice. There poor and he can't afford a new house. He doesn't want this place to effect Alissa or her future. But that could change when a new bad ass joins the streets.

5. Louis? A new friend or complication.

Louis’s P.O.V

Who did that new guy Harry think he was? Striding in here like he owned the group. At least his brother Marcel had a little more respect. I know it sounds paranoid of me, I know that I’ve never really spoken to Alissa and I know that I shouldn’t judge him. But it took me forever to fit in here. Even though Alissa and I have never had a properly structured conversation, she is one of the prettiest girls in the grade. She is also very funny and makes great one-liners at lunch. The thing is that’s all I really know about Alissa- her humor. So I guess exploding at Harry wouldn’t really be fair. Still he can’t try to get close to her. I’ve been trying that for ages and if he steals my chance.. something is bound to happen.

I approached Alissa while she was standing by her locker. Shoving piles of books into her hands.
“Hey!” I said almost too loudly. Alissa stares at me a blinks twice. She probably wasn’t expecting me to come up to her.

“Want help with those books?” I asked. Finally frowns and comes to her sense.
“No I am not that incapable,” she replied. I stare at the ground awkwardly. Great first impression Lou!
“Sorry I am just really tired. Where you heading?” she asked finally.
“Um upstairs, I have Geography. Worst teacher ever!” I laugh and she actually joins in.
“Great I am going upstairs too. I have English,” she said.

I decide to follow her and take the long way to the Geography room. We walk silently and it feels a little strange.
“So do you like English?” I asked trying to make small talk.
“Well it really depends what we’re doing. I usually only like creative writing or poems,” she smiles. Imagine if she wrote a poem for me one day. If we become more than friends! Hah like your already friends now, a voice at the back of my head nagged. I shook it away and drew my attention back to Alissa. Suddenly her friend Amber appeared at the end of the hall.
“God Alissa hurry up! You’re going to be late,” she cried. I was about to say goodbye but all I could do was wave since they were both already running down the hall, giggling. Girls giggling makes me so utterly nervous. Although I seriously don’t show it.

“Omg thank you for saving me. Thank was so beyond awkward,” I exaggerated. It wasn’t that bad just unusual since we don’t really talk.
“Don’t you like Lou?” Amber asked curiously.
“Well I do but I didn’t think we were that close friends,” I admit. Amber giggles next to me and makes me blush of confusion.
“That is so not it. There’s been rumours going around that Harry and you walked home together yesterday afternoon,” she said wiggling her eyebrows.
“Yeah we did. So? We’re just friends,” I said trying to convince Amber and even (a tiny bit) myself.
“Oh please. In a few months that friendship will have fallen apart,” she said grinning. I knew what she meant. It wasn’t supposed to be a bad thing. The friendship would fall apart and we would become a couple. But come on I didn’t even know Harry that well. Amber started laughing loudly and I shoved her ribs just as the teacher walked through the door.
