High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

62. Chapter Twelve, Part Two.

What? That couldn't be right, Ryan told me that he would keep going to the same high school. He wouldn't lie to me... would he?

"W-what?" I choked out.

"Yeah, he texted me this morning too." Nathan said nonchalauntly. He checked his phone and shrugged.

"But... he... he told me he was going to stay..." I said softly.

"He just found out this morning." Nathan said quickly. "He said he'd tell you in person," he paused and turned to Stephanie, "we weren't supposed to tell you."

"We weren't? Oh, I'm sorry!" Stephanie whispered to Nathan grimancing.

I felt tears slide off my cheek. Wait, why was this hitting me so hard? Why did I care so much? I could still see him on weekends, maybe after school, his new house wasn't too far from mine.

The bus pulled up to the school and we got off. My stomach churned and I doubled over in pain.

"I um," I blinked hard and Stephanie came to my side. "I'm going to go home."

"Are you sure you can walk?" She asked me.

"No, I'll get a cab though. Take notes for me?"

"Yeah, sure, go home and sleep."

I nodded and gave her my thanks before hailing a taxi and going home. Luckily for me, no one was at my house for the day so I went up to my room and climbed into bed. I played Charlie Worsham's 'Someone Like Me' off my phone before my head hit the pillow and I was asleep.
