High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

61. Chapter Twelve, Part One.

I stood at the bus stop waiting for Stephanie. A few memories from last nigh came back to my mind, Jackson's reaction to Ryan and I getting back together.

He was somewhat happy, but had asked me to reconsider and remember the fact that I had spent at least an hour in my room crying.

"I'll be fine," I told him, "this time it'll be different."

"It'll be fine..." I whispered, now, to the brisk January morning air.

"ARIEL!!!!!"

I looked over my shoulder and saw Stephanie running over. I laughed and waved at her.

"Hiya, Steph, what's up?" I said.

The bus pulled up and we got on. We took our usual seats, and I looked out the window smiling absentmindedly at what used to be Ryan's house.

Over the weekend, I went to his new house and helped Ryan and his family move in. His mom was really nice, and kept calling me 'sweet heart'. His dad would talk to me in a southern accent, Ryan told me his dad lived in Georgia for a long time.

I thought that was cool.

"Ariel!"

"What?!" I asked. I snapped out of my trance and turned to Stephanie and smiled half-heartedly as Nathan joined us.

"Were you even listening to me?! Ryan moved! He's not going to our school anymore!"
