High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

52. Chapter Ten, Part Two.

I tied my scarf a knot tighter around my neck as I slung my bag over my shoulder. I said my goodbye to Aria, my aunt, parents, and brother before stepping outside into the cold bitter wind and two inch snow. I looked up to the sky and smiled, this was offically the first time I was seeing snow.

I giggled to myself and walked over to the music store Stephanie and I went to the few weeks ago. I walked in and the bell chimed.

Now, looking around the room and slowly taking off my scarf and mittens, I really took in the beautiful store.

The walls were all a deep, rich mahogony that matched the flooring. Guitars of every color lined two whole walls, and the other two were a mix of strings and little other things all guitarist should own (electrical tuners, picks, straps, cleaners, etc.) A smell of light vanilla wafted in and it mixed with the snow and pine scent from outside.

I think the only word I could use to describe the vibe was... Christmas. Chistmas and Fall. I know, I know it sounds stupid but that's just how I felt.

"Hey, didn't you come in here last week or so?"

I turned around and saw the guy who helped Stephanie last time I was here.

"Yeah," I smiled. "Yeah, me and my friend."

He smiled. "Did you get your violin?"

"Good, you seem to have a passion."

I shrugged. "Kinda. I actually came for a lesson."

He looked at me surprised and nodded. I pulled my new violin out of my bag and we sat down and played for hours.

The owners name was Malcolm. He had just moved to New York from Illinois.

We played for a good deal of time and then Malcolm sent me home with a few songs to practice.

I couldn't wait to call Ryan and talk to him, I hadn't heard his voice in so long... It felt abnormal.

I turned the corner that passed Nathan's house. I stopped in my tracks seeing Brianna lip-locked with someone.

I put my head down and walked a little faster.

Look up! Look up you idiot!!!

I don't know where that voice came from in my mind, but it convinced me to the point where I had to look up.

I stopped again, tears welling in my eyes.
