High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

33. Chapter Six, Part Three.

I walked home on a cloud. Stephanie and Nathan went home by them selves, and Ryan's mom called him and asked him to pick a few things up at the local grocery store down the street from the school.

I sang Lady Antebellum's 'Dancing Away With My Heart'.

I looked around the scene around me, life just seemed so beautifuly perfect right there, at that moment. I smiled and laughed to myself.

I walked through the front door and found my mother, father, and brother all watching a baseball game. They all looked at me when I walked in and I smiled.

"Hello!" I said in a cheerfull, happy tone.

"How was the dance?" My mom asked me. She was smiling from ear to ear, she seemed so happy for me. Like she was a teenager again and I was her best friend.

"Awesome!" I said. I showed her the picture and she replied with a smile, and a quiet 'awh'.

"Ariel," my father started, "do you think you're moving too fast with this boy?"

"Um, 'this boy' has a name Dad, it's Ryan. And no, I don't think we're moving 'too fast', if we were we'd be picking out wedding rings and all of that stuff."

He watched me with the solem look that read 'stop trying to be smart'.

"Daddy," I started, "I promise we're not doing anything. What do you want me to do to prove that?"

"Bring him over for dinner." He said.

"Ooh, that's a good one." My brother said.

I looked at him questionlingly, he wasn''t talking about the baseball game because a commercial was on.

"Okay, I'll call Ryan tomorrow and he can come over. Is that okay?" I proposed.

"Yes, that's good." My dad said nodding.

I smiled and went over to the stair case. I paused with my hand on the railing and turned back to my family. "Dad, are you trying to scare Ryan?"

My borther jumped up screaming "YESSSS!"

"I'll take that for an answer." I said laughing.

I went back upstairs to my room and sat down on my bed.
