High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

5. Chapter One, Part Four.

[ A/N: Sorry I keep updating like every half hour, I'm just really happy with how this is all going. :) Thanks for reading! ]

I walked into my room and closed the door, then threw my binder and backpack on the floor by my desk. I stood with my back pressed against my closed door, arms wrapped around my elbows. I smiled, then started gigling slightly. Finally it broke out into a full out happy-giddy laugh and I sank down to the point where I was lying on the floor smiling at the celling.

I got up and started on my homework. My phone played Sara Bareilles' 'I Choose You' and I mouthed the words as I worked on my cross multiplication.

I looked up hearing my phone play my ring tone of The All-American Rejects' 'Gives You Hell'. I answered my phone with the normal 'hello?'

"Si, como estas?" I said. I was working on my Spanish homework and still had to memorise a whole page of phrases.

"Ariel, I proved to you today I suck at Spanish." Ryan's voice said laughing.

"I know." I said. I smiled to myself. I let him talk a little, he was talking about football and I tried to pay attention. My family were more baseball fans than they were football. I found myself drawing his name in a heart, I quickly erased it off my homework and then tuned back into what he was saying.

"So, I thought we could go see a movie...?"

Whoa. When did a movie ever contribute to football?

"Sure, what time?"

"Uh, how about seven thirty."

"Cool, what movie?"

"How about We're The Millers?"

"Yeah! I've been dying to see it!" I said smiling.

"Okay, then I'll come pick you up at around seven twenty?"

"Sure, yeah, that sounds great."

"Okay, see you then."

"See you."

I hung up and smiled. I looked at my wall clock, 6:37. I finished the rest of my homework and then got ready for my movie with Ryan.
