High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

46. Chapter Nine, Part Two.

I woke up hearing a knocking at my door. I looked at my wall clock; 3:26.

I got up and opened my door. Jackson stood with his arms crossed over his chest giving me a death glare.

"Whadda ya want?" I asked groggily. I was in the place between sleep and awake, and I really wanted to go back to sleep land...

"Why did you tell them about me and Brianna?"

That got me wide awake.

"Why were you going that far with her?" I replied curtly.

Jackson bit his lip and looked to his side. His jaw moved from side to side like it did when he was really mad. Really. Mad.

"Just stay out of it." He said looking back at me.

"Why? Tell me Jackson, what if in the next few months I find out I'm going to be an aunt? Tell me, what happens then?" I demanded. I looked at him with a fury in my eyes, but somewhere deep inside of me I was cursing myself for saying that.

What if I was really going to be an aunt?

Everything on Jackson's face fell. He looked ghostly white and terrified.

Oh, God no.

"Jackson...?" I asked.

"I don't know." He said softly. "I honestly don't know."

"Why would you do something like that?!" I asked.

"I don't know!" He threw his hands up in defeat. "I regret it now, for sure, but... I don't know. I want to take it back... I haven't talked to Brianna since she left. And she's been calling me every few minutes," he paused hearing his phone go off, "see?! That's her! At three thirty in the morning!"

"Tell her you're through." I offered.

"You don't think I've tried?" He said with a weary smile. "Oh, I'll be right back..." he went to his room and came back with the stuffed bear Ryan gave me.

"You... you got it back..." I said in awe.

Jackson shrugged. "I saw how much it meant to you... when I left yesterday, I went to get your bear."

I nodded, I wrapped my arms around him in a hug. I finally had my brother back.
