High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

19. Chapter Four, Part One.

(I'm getting lazy so I just put all three in one thingy mabobber: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=98075623 )

"He's a total sweetheart!" I told Ashley over the phone. I layed back upsidedown on my bed and watched the never moving wall.

"And his name is..." she paused trying to remember, "Ryan, right?"

"Yep." I said popping the 'p'.

It was at least a week after the double date down at the garden. Tonight, a Saturday night, Stephanie was going to come over for a slumber party. Now, I was just waiting for Stephanie.

"Send me a picture?" Ashley asked.

"Will do," I said. I looked over my shoulder hearing the doorbell ring. I got up and started decending the stairs. "Look, I gotta go. I'll call you back later, okay?"

"Okay. I hope you miss me." Ashley said.

"How could I not?" I asked sarcastically. I stood up on my tip-toes to look out the peep hole, Stephanie stood behind the door with a duffle bag slung over her shoulder and holding a teddy bear to her chest. Around her, I saw the sky slowly turn to a deep, rich, beautiful purple.

"Ha ha," she said sarcastically, "bye then."

"Bye." I said, then hung up. I opened the door and let Stephanie in, then showed her my room.

Due to my brother's baseball game, he and my parents were in New Hampshire for a game tournament. And I was home alone.

So, sleep over.

"What movies did you bring?" I asked Steph eyeing the bulging bag she brought.

She smiled mischeviously and pulled out gruesome looking movies:

Silent Scream

Paranormal Activity 1-3

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The list went on and on. I sighed, but if I could watch the cop shows on TV, I could handle a few harmless movies, right?

I went downstaris to the kitchen and started to pop two bags of popcorn. My phone went off playing a ringtone of ''cause you're my, you're mine my true love, my true heart, my whole heart. Please don't throw that away...' that was Ryan's ringtone.

Ryan: hey! what are you up to?

A: horror movie/girls night w/Steph

Ryan: and why was I not invited?

A: are you a female?

Ryan: no...

A: there's your answer

I smiled and took my phone and two hot bowls of popcorn back up to my room.

"Use my computer," I told the confused Stephanie who was looking around my room with a DVD in her hand, "I don't have a TV in here."

"Oh..." she said. She turned my computer on and popped the DVD into place, then sat down with me on my bed. I ran downstairs while the previews played and brought up bowls of pre-made pasta I made earlier for our dinner. Stephanie pulled out two cans of Arizaona Tea (and I noticed more in her bag), and countless bags of candy.

"Oh! Pass me the jelly beans!" I said.

She handed me the container and the movie started with a woman's scream.

[ countless movies later ]

"NO! NO YOU IDIOT! GET OUT! GET OUUTTT!" I screamed to my computer screen as the helpless victim wandered down the darkly lit corridor.

"RUN! HE'S BEHIND THE DOOR!" Stephanie shouted. She threw a handfull of popcorn at the screen (like she had been doing for the previous few movies).

We both screamed and hugged each other as the murdered popped out from behind the door and shot the victim.

"Why would a guy wander around a wearhouse in the middle of the night?" I asked, prying Stephanie off of me. I threw a piece of popcorn into the air and then caught it in my mouth.

"I don't know," she said, she threw up a piece herself and caught it too. "But he was cute."

"Ooh! I'm telling Nathan!" I said mockingly.

"Ooh! I bet you don't!" She said.

I looked over my shoulder again hearing the doorbell ring. I groaned, taking a handfull of popcorn, and trudged down the stairs. My parent's wouldn't be home until Tuesday, so whoo would be at my house at maybe one in the morning?

I unlocked the door and opened it.

Then I screamed.
