High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

30. Chapter Five, Part Seven.

The dress shop was a little hole-in-the-wall, but it was cute. The walls were an oak wood that was matching the hardwood flooring. Light blue, green, and violet sheer curtans hung on the windows and dressed lined every. single. wall.

Stephanie smiled and went up to the cashire and picked up a candy. "How's work today?" She asked as she popped the candy into her mouth.

The cashire nodded. "So-so. Are you here for homecoming?"

We both nodded and I grabbed a candy from the crystal candy bowl too, Jolly Ranchers were always a good thing to be able to grab.

"I think you're a red, maybe white or someithing... that'd be pretty." She said to Stephanie, then turned to me and smiled, "you're a blue. Light green? More on the auqamarine side though..."

"O-okay." I kind of choked on my candy (which was insidently blue,) and followed her and Stephanie to the part of the store labled 'PROM'. I glanced around as we were walking, sundresses, wedding dresses, fromal dresses, sweet sixteens, the list went on.

"Here we are," she said. She thrusted a dress into my hands and gave one to Stepanie. We went to the dressing rooms.

[exactly sixteen dresses later ]

I looked at myself in the mirror and scruntched up my nose, this girl had terrible taste! I looked like a walking blue feather duster! With enough sequins to blind someone.

"You know Sall," Stephanie's voice said, "can you go get Mary Lou? I feel like she could find exactly what we're looking for."

"Sure!" The girl's voice said. "I'll go get her."

After the footfalls left, I walked out of the dressing room and gawked at the thing Stephanie was wearing. Neon pink did not look good on her.

She sighed. "I'm having the manager come out and help."

I nodded. Another woman came out, she had blonde wavy hair with the tips dyed blue. She smiled at us and immediatley told us to get out of the dresses we were in.

We changed into the robes they lent us and then sat down with the manager and talked about the homecomming. It was going to be indoors, and thankfully, there would be an airconditioner to keep the room warm.

"I think you will look breath taking in a white," she told me, "and you'll be in blue." She said to Stephanie.

We both nodded and were handed another dress each. I went in to the changing rooms and slipped the dress on, wow.

Finally someone had some taste.
