High School Romance.

Ariel, an image of a red-headed mermaid poped into your head, didn't it? Well, that's kind of me. A fiery red head and look alike to Molly Quinn. I just started high school (oh joy.) and I'm so not used to it. What happened to small schools? Oh well, but, I can't really complain. And all of my classes are fairly easy, and every single one of them I share with the most random guy, football jersey number 13. That's what I call him, thirteen. And I think I like him... like, LIKE LIKE him... and I'm pretty sure he feels the same way about me...

40. Chapter Eight, Part One.

(A/N: There will be cussing!) (Brianna: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=100238519 )

I trudged up to my front door step and muttered angrily as I dug through my purse for my keys. Why would Jackson leave me at a farmers market?! Out of all the things he's done this is the most absurdedly crazy.

I walked in and slammed the door behind me. I heard the shower running upstairs and saw a note scrawled out on a stickey note taped to the fridge from my parents:

Dear Ariel and Jackson,

This week is our anniversary so for the weekend we'll be out of town. Take care of each other and be on your best behavoir. Will be back in time for Thanksgiving, call dad if you need anything, no, call mom, and we'll be back soon. Love you! - Mom & Dad.

I sighed and looked around. If Jackson was upstairs taking a shower, getting ready for his date with Brianna, what do I do now? I don't want to be any where near the girl.

Still, the thought of my brother and my (probably) mortal enemy bothered me. Why her? Of all people! She was, first of all, two years younger than him. Two. Years. Younger. To me that was horrible. And second of all, she was a total jerk! She's probably already bullied half of the school in the first few months. And third, she walks around half undressed. Myabe that's why Jackson likes her so much...

I scrawled out a note and stuck it near Mom and Dads, then left for Stephanies'.

I put my ear buds in and played all of the Taylor Swift songs I owned. I sang along softly to 'Teardrops On My Guitar'.

Maybe I should call Steph first, see if it's okay I come over. I thought. I dialled her number and looked down at my phone screen, while doing so, accidentaly bumping in to someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I said. I put my phone to my ear and looked up.

Brianna stared me down. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Well, I live over there." I said. I pointed behind me.

Brianna looked past me and smiled. "You're Jackson Nichols sister? Oh, this is too good." She crossed her arms over her chest and looked me up and down.

My anger flared. I bit my lip and nodded slowly. I moved past her and kept walking to Stephanie's.
