Exasperated, that's what I was- am. My pride that was once stored within me has now vanished into billions of particles, dissolved and evaporated into the mass air that surrounds me. Lifeless: nothing more, nothing less. I lay, placidly, willingly, acceptingly, though, my body is no longer belligerent; it's given up.
My name is Kaitlynn Malik and this is my story.

26. Chapter 25.

Zayn's POV

I had never been one for going to the hospital in any situation that would occur, but tonight was different. Tonight, my baby girl had wrapped her car around a tree. As I stare at her broken body, I begin to question her motives. Why was she driving off like that, so outraged?
I stare at her limp body, broken and bruised. Her leg lay up in a cast, stretched outward. The I.V that was stuck in her arm seemed frighteningly uncomfortable. The gauze that wrapped around the top of her head was seeped through with blood. Scrapes and bruises cover every inch of her body. How is she even still alive?

As all the possibilities ponder through my mind, Kaitlynn begins to stir. Her voice is low at first, but she soon begins to question where she is and what happened. I begin to explain what I knew and what I didn't as I can see the horror etch across her face and within her eyes. She remembers, but it seems as if she wishes she didn't.
