6. Day Out

"I'm gonna go get some air." I told Leon.

"Ok. Don't take too long, princess." Leon said, kissing my cheek. I gave him a smile before standing and exiting the front door.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I yelled into the wind.

"You." Rider replied, walking around from the back of the building.

"Of course. I'm going back inside now." I said, walking to the door.

"Just hear me out." Rider pleaded.

"You got five minutes. Plus, you look ridiculous." I replied.

"Thanks for the compliment." He said sarcastically, starting to get angry.

"Tick, tock." I sang.

"Don't disrepect me. You are MINE!" He growled.

"No. I'm not yours. Kimberly is yours." I snarled, pissed off.

"I don't even like her! SHE'S ANNOYING!" He shouted.

"Now, now, that's not a very nice thing to say about your Luna, is it pretty boy?" I mocked. He let out a loud growl in an attempt to scare me.

"I'm not afraid of you. I'll never be. I'm not the same fragile girl I was two years ago. Sorry to disappoint." I quipped. He looked like he was about to punch me, and still I stood my ground, calmly staring him down.

"I warned you." He growled before running at me, trying to grab me. I used his shoulders for a boost and flipped myself over him.

"Calm down, Alpha Grey. Your temper can get you in trouble." I said as I landed catlike behind him.

"You betrayed me!" He shouted. I was about to reply when I felt strong arms wrap around me and I let out a small squeak.

"This doesn't look like 'air', princess." Leon whispered in my ear.

"Stay out of this, Leon." Rider snarled.

"What happened to 'I need to talk to you.' Pretty interesting talk." Leon said angrily.

"How did you hear that?" Rider asked.

"We've already been through that. Why are you trying to influence my princess's decision? And with violence? I don't think that'll help in your favor." Leon said, calmed. His chin was resting on top of my head.

"She started it." Rider growled.

"I didn't charge you out of nowhere, now did I?" I hissed.

"You aggitated me!" He accused.

"Clearly you guys have some unsolved issues. Since tommorow's Saturday, how about you guys spend the day together?" Leon suggested nicely.

"What?" I shouted, slipping out of his embrace.

"Cool with me. I'll pick you up tommorow morning at nine." Rider told me. He turned and went back inside.

"I wanted to spend tommorow with you, not him!" I whined.

"I know, but it's not fair if I keep you all to myself." Leon replied.

Rider's p.o.v.

"I'm going out for the day. Can you make sure everything gets done? I would ask Kim, but..." I let my sentence hang in the air.

"Sure dude. By the way, you've got serious competition." Jake, my Beta, replied. One obstacle tackled, one to go. I looked down at my watch and it read 7:58. That meant I only had a certain amount of time to argue with Kim.

"KIM!" I yelled upstairs. She came down a minute later. She was in pajamas, but she had on so much makeup she looked like she was going to a ball.

"Yes, Rider?" She asked, obviously half-asleep.

"I'm going out for the day." I told her. She nodded sleepily and went back upstairs. I knew she would forget by the time she got up, but right now, I couldn't care less. I grabbed my car keys and headed out the door. When I got to rogue territory, it was 8:59, so I was right on time. When I pulled up, I saw Rain standing on the porch with Leon. I saw her say something that looked like 'bye' before giving him a kiss on the cheek, which, of course, angered me. She walked slowly to my car and slipped into the front seat.

"Hello, Angel." I greeted her kindly.

"Hi Alpha Grey. Could you not call me Angel? I'm pretty far from one of those." She asked polietly. I kept my mouth shut, stunned, as I drove us to our first location.

"Why are we at a karaoke hut?" Rain asked when I stopped the car.

"Because," I said with a smile. "This is the first stop down the road to making you love me again." She followed me into the building without another word. I signed her up for a song of my choice and sat and waited for her turn.

"Now, presenting, Angel Aries, singing Roar by Katy Perry." A man read off of an index card. Rain gave me an evil, 'I will murder you' look before getting up on stage.

"Thanks." She said quietly. The man exited the stage before starting the music. Rain was hesitant at first, put as the music played on, she got more and more into the song. She sung with so much passion and grace that the entire building was absolutely silent. When the song ended, everyone stood and clapped, some people wolf wistling (see what I did there? ^.^) She smiled, blushing, before hopping off the stage. We each sang a few more songs there before leaving (I'm a terrible singer, FYI.) As we were leaving the building, a man in a buisness suit approached us.

"Hi. I heard you singing back there and I think you're really good. How would you like to become a musician and sign with Star Records? Of course, you would need to audition first, but you shouldn't be worried. Our headquarters is in L.A., so of course you'd have to move from here in Florida. What do you say?" He said in a rush.

"Thanks, but no thanks. I have too much here to just drop it all and move to California, but I'm flattered by the offer." Rain declined, shocking both me and the buisness man.

"Understandable. Here's my card. If you ever change your mind, I think we could make you into a star." The man said after recomposing himself, handing Rain a buisnesscard.

"Why would you give up an offer like that?!" I asked after the man had left.

"Simple. One, I have a job. I'm a YouTube partner, so I get paid based on how often I make videos, and how many views I get. Two, I'm a Luna. I can't leave my pack because a humane opportunity came up. That's wrong. I know Kimberly prpbably wouldn't either." She stated simply. I knew for a fact that if Kim got that chance, she would be out of here in an instant. Sadly, she sounds like a moose dying. We spent the rest the rest of the day doing random fun things, and just for the heck of it, I bought her a Domo Backpack. While we were in Hot Topic, my cellphone rang loudly in my pocket. I took it out to see that it was Kim calling.

"Answer it." Rain said sweetly, as if she knew who it was and why I wasn't answering. Her voice had lost some of the happiness it had gained throughout the day. I nodded before exiting the store.

"What?" I asked as I answered the phone.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!" Kim screamed through the phone.

"Out," I replied simply.

"Why didn't you take me along? We could have went shopping," She said, whining.

"Look Kim-"

"Don't 'look Kim' me! I want you home right now!" She demanded. I knew there was no use in arguing, so I agreed reluctantly.

"Angel, we have to go." I said, walking back into the store.

"Ok. Kim wants you back at home, right? I knew it would happen sooner or later. I'm surprised she let you stay out this long," She said quietly, walking past me and to my car.

"It's not that." I said, trying to lighten the mood.

"You don't have to lie to me, Rider. I told you, I'm not the same girl I was two years ago. I know it was Kim, so there's no use trying to hide it," Rain replied, getting into my front seat. She didn't say it angrily. She just seemed disappointed. I drove her home in utter silence.

"Bye, Angel," I said as she got out of my car.

"Goodbye Alpha Grey," She said, shutting the car door.

Rain's p.o.v.

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed that Rider had to go, but I couldn't stay in a bad mood.

"I'm back!" I yelled through the house. Suddenly, a tiny german shepard puppy came running down the hallway towards me.

"Well hello there cutie," I said in a baby voice, scooping up the puppy. It licked my nose and I laughed.

"Hi, princess," Leon said, smiling.

"Hi Leon. Who's adorable little puppy is this?" I cooed, distracted by the puppy.

"Yours," He replied.

"Really?" I asked excitedly, looking up at him.

"Really. I got him today. Think of him as an early Christmas present," Leon said, walking toward me.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Oh, crap! I still need to go Christmas shopping!" I shouted, changing the subject.

"You can go shopping later. What do you want to name him?" Leon asked, watching the puppy run around in circles.

"Hmmmmmm FINN! Finn the dog" I said after some thought.

"Finn it is," Leon said happily.

"Thank you SO much!" I squeaked, giving him a hug.

"Anytime, princess," He said before kissing the top of my head.
