"How'd it go?" Jake asked me the following morning.

"Ok, until Kim just had to ruin it," I replied as we prepared to patrol our borders. It was Jake, Kim, and I, along with another pack member named Lola that were going on the patrol. Lola was a tall, pretty brunette with dark brown eyes.

"You think she might consider thinking about choosing you?" Jake asked.

"Might consider choosing who? And who's 'she'?" Kim said casually, appearing out of thin air.

"'She' is......A GAME CHARACTER! Yea. She's an angel on a game that we play. She chooses people to take with her, and I was just wondering if she was going to take Rider," Jake stammered, trying to make a save. Kim stared at Jake for a minute before shrugging her shoulders. She went once again to her makeup and applied MORE blush. Her cheeks were already as red as tomatoes.

"Why are you putting on makeup AGAIN?! It doesn't make any sense," I growled. She just tsked and walked out of the room.

"You ready to go, man?" Jake asked, as if Kim didn't interrupt at all.

Rain's p.o.v. "Good morning, Finn," I laughed as the puppy licked my hand. I got up and showered, changing into some black tights and a black t-shirt. I scooped up Finn and brought him into the kitchen with me. Leon had already got him food and dog bowls, along with a leash and collar. I put some food in his bowl and left him to eat while I make some omlettes and bacon.

"Good morning princess." Leon said ten minutes later, entering the kitchen.

"Hi Leon." I replied, taking my finished plate to the sink. I sat his plate on the table, gave him a kiss, and went to get Finn. When I walked into the hallway, Johnathan screamed as Finn ran toward him. I laughed when Finn let out a small growl and tried to bite Johnathan's leg.

"No Finn!" I scolded, still laughing. I walked over to them and picked Finn up before Johnathan had a heart attack.

"Training today in thirty minutes," I informed Johnathan, who was still looking cautiously at Finn.

"Calm down, he's just a puppy! You're supposed to be a tough guy," I teased, sticking my tongue out at him. He narrowed his eyes at me before walking into the kitchen.

Rider's p.o.v.

"Why are we going here?!" Kim whined into my ear.

"Because," I grumbled, putting the car in park. "we need them as allies. We found three more of our dead bodies covered in the scent of EverGreen on our land. That makes four in three days." When we entered their pack house, I heard what sounded like fighting coming from the back of the house. I walked into the room curiously, and a brown eyed girl with dirty blonde hair looked up at me curiously. In the second she wasn't paying attention, her legs were swept out from under her and she was pinned to a mat, a blade at her throat.

"Time. Three minutes even," Leon called. The girl let out a frustrated growl as she was helped up off the mat.

"You have to pay attention, Sage. The second you lose focus because of a distraction, you're dead. Plain and simple. Other than that, good job," Rain said, slipping her dagger back into it's holder.

"And the distractions. Can I ask why you you've interrupted our training?" Rain said with an edge.

"Excuse you. I don't think we have to explain ourselves to you. We are alpha and luna after all," Kim snarled before I could answer. Rain's face darkened, and she looked like she was struggling to keep calm.

"You're seriously testing me? Again? In front of my pack?" She asked, her hand curling around the handle of her dagger. Kim tried to act like she wasn't afraid, but failed miserably.

"Ummmm...can we have a moment please?" I asked before pulling Kim into the hall.

"Are you crazy!?" I whisper-yelled at her. "We're in their territory. If Rain kills you, I can't do anything about it beacuse you were disrespecting her on HER land," Kim looked at me in disbelief before replying

"You're taking her side! Aren't you?" She shouted.

"Shush! We don't have time for this!" I hissed before pulling her back into the room.

"Sorry about that," I said cheerily. The room was emptied now, and Rain was sitting on the floor with a puppy. Leon was chuckling to himself as he watched the puppy chase Rain's hand around.

"EWWW! Why is that mutt in here?!" Kim screamed. The puppy stopped chasing Rain's hand and turned to look at Kim and I curiously.

"Finn. Don't even think about it," Rain said, referring to the dog. Finn ran toward us, but Rain caught him just before he got to us. Kim screamed, hiding behind me.

"This," Rain said, picking up to puppy. "is my puppy, Finn. Leon got him for me yesterday. Isn't he cute?" Rain cooed as she looked at the puppy, who had now found interest in trying to eat Rain's hair.

"That thing is gross! I hate dogs!" Kim squeaked.

"You're part dog, idiot," Rain said, sitting the puppy on the ground. Kim stared dumbfoundly, before a look of realization, then disgust came over her face.

"Hello brother. Kim," Leon said, nodding a greeting.

"We need your help. EverGreen is killing off our pack members. We were wondering if you'd make an alliance with us?" I asked. Leon just shrugged as if saying 'fine with me,' and looked at Rain.

"I think it's a great idea. BUT, Kim has to fight me first," Rain said with a devillish smile, which I found so hot.

"No way am I fighting that freak show!" Kim whined.

"Fine. No fight, no alliance. Or are you just scared? I promise I won't scar up that pretty little face of yours. Too much," Rain taunted, her eyes glittering with excitement as her hand once again tightened, almost mockingly, around her dagger handle.

"No need for violence, princess," Leon said softly.

Rain looked at him before reponding in a similarly soft voice "An alliance is supposed to work out for both packs. If a pack is weaker than yours, you're basically babysitting."

"So you think I'm weak!" Kim said in an abnoxiously loud voice, ruining the quiet.

"Yes. I'll keep thinking that until you fight me. In fact, I won't even use a weapon," Rain snarled loudly, pulling her dagger out of its holder and tossing it on the ground at Kim's feet. The blade was literally golden with silver markings in it that spelled out Rain Aries, and the handle was a dark red velvety color.

"Are you going to pick it up? Don't scratch it, it was a birthday gift. Eighteen years, going strong," Rain said as Kim bent to pick up the knife. Without warning, Rain lunged at Kim, her claws flashing through the air. Kim screamed as blood gushed from the wound on her cheek. Rain didn't hesitate, catching the dagger as it fell, and turning her attention immediately back to Kim, who was trying to nurse her wound. Rain sliced a clean cut on Kim's other cheek before grabbing Kim by the hair and pinning her against the wall, the dagger placed on throat to where, if Kim tried to move, it would slice through her skin.

"Pathetic excuse for a Luna," Rain spat at Kim, who was now wimpering quietly.

"You aren't going to help your Luna, Alpha Grey?" Rain teased, her attention still on Kim. If you don't know already, I hate being teased. It's my biggest pet peeve. So, of course, I got angry.

"What a shame. Packs are supposed to stick together. Especially lovers," She continued. Before thinking, I ran at her. She whipped around at the last moment, her dagger landing and cutting my lip. I, enraged, took a swing at her, but was stopped before I could land a hit. A panicked look crossed made it's way onto Rain's face, as I was now faced with Leon, who looked like he was about to murder me.

"I don't think that's such a good idea," Leon growled, his eyes turning a deep crimson.

"We'll help you guys," Rain interfered quickly, obviously trying to prevent a fight.

"I think you guys need more training, don't you Leon?" Rain asked. Leon's eyes graduatlly went back to their original grey, almost like the crimson leaked out, and he nodded.

"Ok then. Your entire pack needs to be here tommorow at 6 am. Thanks for stopping by," Rain said in a rush, quickly ushering us out the front door.
