Over Again

Ashlyn Rose was your typical hormonal teenager, She did typical teenager things; listened and played music, hung-out with friends and obsessed over boys. There was this one boy in particular though, who changed Ashlyn's world upside-down. But with him gone, she finds herself lost; with no one to trust. When she could potentially find love again will she let them in? or lock them out?

30. Save Me

Ashlyn's POV

Okay, I'll admit, seeing Harry in my flat did make me feel a tiny bit better, but not enough to back out of this. He was happy with Faith. This wasn't even the first time he's left me for her. Sure her boobs popped out of her shirt and her ass was firm and big. She may have pouty lips and bold eyes. But she didn't have a soul. Her soul was wiped from her at birth. She never had one, nor will she ever.

"Ashlyn?" Harry's voice was strained and dry; hardly exceeding a whisper.

"Doesn't seem like much, does it? Nearly a month." I paused to take in his features for a last time; wanting to remember everything. "27 days is all it takes to be completely broken."

Taking the knife in my hand beside me, I raised it to my heart, resting it there. I heard Harry's breath hitch as I placed it on my chest.

"If you go, I go."

My eyes slowly peeled open.

"What?" My voice wavered and toppled on the way out.

"Back in year nine. When you went through the whole Jarrett thing; when you told me you wanted to die. Do you remember what I said?" Harry's eyes bore through mine with intensity unfathomable. "If you die-"

"-I die" I completed Harry's sentence. He need not continue. I understood well enough what he was trying to say. "You have Faith to live for now." It sounded a lot less bitter in my head to be honest. Harry seemed taken a back by my comment and hurt flashed through his eyes.

"If you die. I die. End of story."

"I won't let you."

"You'd be dead. You wouldn't have a say in it."

"You so fucking stubborn. Just let me die already."

"What if I don't want you to die. What if I love you too much? Huh? What about then?" Harry was yelling now. Tears sprung to my eyes.

"If you love someone, you don't break them." My voice raged over the whole house and cause an eery silence to fall over the two of us.

"Then let me fix you dammit" Harry voice was harsh but calm. Quiet almost. Without further warning, Harry took a mere three strides and landed his palms to the side of my face; crashing his lips on mine. He stood there, tense and stiff waiting for my reaction. When I kissed him back, he started to relax as well. Our lips find the rhythm perfectly and our mouths mould together. My knees went weak when Harry's tongue glided over my bottom lip. When I granted him access, he took no time to get accustomed to every nook and cranny of my mouth. Our tongues massaging each others.

Harry was the one.

He was the one to save me.

Harry's POV

I pulled out of the kiss breathless. I had missed Ashlyn more than I knew. That kiss lasted a good amount of time. She looked up at me.

"Harry?" I hummed in response; too lazy to speak. "What about Faith?"

"She's history."

I couldn't help but notice the smile that spread over Ashlyn's face.

"Gone?" Her voice was hopeful.

"She was never apart of the picture."

Ashlyn was the one.

She was the one to save me.
