14. Don't You Dare

Casey texted me to come pick her up from work. I hopped in the car and went off. I was pretty good at finding my way to the bar now. As I was getting nearer to it, I could see Casey standing outside in the cool October air. I pulled up next to her and she opened the door and sat in the car. She seemed kind of grumpy. "Everything alright babe?" I asked her. "No." She said and stared out the window. I looked at her. "What's wrong" I said rubbing the back of her hand. "I got fired." she replied blankly. "What? Why!" I asked her. She looked back at me. "Because I'm attracting 'bad crowds'" she scoffed, quoting her boss. "What do you mean?" I asked. She got angry. She was trying to keep it all in. " I mean Matt, and not only matt! I mean a bunch of fucking insane fans!" She screamed, punching the dashboard of my car. "What happened"I said trying to calm her down before she broke my windshield or something. "When they noticed who I was they flipped a bitch and got me in trouble. This happened not once, not twice, but fucking three times in one day!" She yelled. "Okay calm down. I'll take you home and you can like... Punch a pillow or something, okay?" I said to her. "Fine, sounds fine" she said buckling her seat belt. I pulled up to my house. We got out and Casey walked through the door before me. She didn't say a word, just walked to the back door and opened it. She walked through the patio and down the steep steps to the beach. Why did she want to go to the beach? It was 60° out and there wasn't a single bit of blue in the sky. I followed behind her to see what she was doing, but she was walking faster than me. She got to the beach and walked right next to the water. She dropped to her knees in the sand and sat down. She was playing with the sand in her fingers. I stood about 50 feet behind her, watching what she was doing. She fell back, laying on her back looking at the sky. She was breathing heavy. She flew back up, standing. She kicked her shoes off and threw them far across the beach. She leaned down and took a big hand full of sand and chucked it into the waves. I walked up behind her and touched her back gently. "Casey, do you maybe want to go back inside now?" I asked her. She sighed "no, can you go get a blanket?" She asked me. "Sure" I kissed her on the cheek and ran up to go get a blanket. I went in my room and ripped he thinner sheet off of it, and ran back down. I flipped it up and layed it in the sand. Casey rolled back onto it on her back. I layed down next to her, my arm around her shoulders and her head resting on my arm. It was silent, but it was nice. Casey rolled over on her side and leaned into me. She kissed my neck and rest her hand on my chest. I put my hand over hers. She laughed softly. "Did I freak out too much?" She blushed. "Nah, but you might want to go get your shoes before we go back in." I laughed as a stretched my head back to see her heals thrown on the other side of the beach. "Where am I going to work now?" She said softly. Her mood changed from angry to sad. "How will I get money?" She asked. I stroked her hair and kissed her forehead "you'll find something" I assured her. She smiled and kissed my neck again. She whispered in my ear "you're sweet" and continued to peck me all over, going to my lips. I rolled to my side and kissed her back lightly. The tide was picking up as the waves touched the end of the sheet. "We should go back up now" Casey said to me. I went over to pick up her shoes, and we walked back up to the house. "You hungry?" Casey asked me as we walked in. "No I just ate before I picked you up" I told her. She shrugged and made herself food. Like always, she inhaled it. I sat down on the couch, and Casey joined me. She sat, looking into my eyes. Her eyes were an icy blue, and absolutely breath taking. I reached over and pulled her on top of me. She was sitting in my lap, straddling me with her legs. I kissed her softly and pulled at the hem of her shirt, lifting it up. She stopped me. Why did she always do that. "Harry I'm not ready to go that far" she said. "Okay" I said quietly. "Harry, do you respect that?" She said doubtfully. "Yes, but I—"
"But what?"
"Nothing" I sighed
"No, not nothing tell me"
"Casey, it's nothing" I said. She pulled off me and stood up. "It's not nothing Harry! I don't want to do it" she yelled at me. "I know!" I yelled back I stood up too. "I'm not going to fucking force you, calm down!"
"Don't talk to me like that Harry! If you know then stop trying to get me to do it! I'll tell you when I'm ready!" She stormed off into my room. I followed her in there. "So" I said slamming my door shut. "What! Are you leaving now?" I yelled. She didn't yell back at me. She didn't say anything to me. She turned around and looked at me with disappointed eyes. My face fell. I knew I had upset her. "Casey, Im sorry" I said walking to her. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her firmly. "Harry, it's called making love" she said quietly. I let her go, and she sat on the bed. "I don't want to just fool around with you, I want to know it means something. I want to be in love if we go all the way." She said to me. "I know" I said. "I'm sorry, Casey"
