40. New Years Eve Alone

Jessica’s POV

“Justin?” I asked, as I shifted unto my side to look at his gorgeous face.

“yeah baby girl?” he asked, his arm tightening around my waist and his turning more towards me, from being half shoved into the pillow.

“I love you.” I whispered, as a small smile played on my lips.

“I love you too, so much.” Justin muttered, kissing my cheek, then my lips softly before closing his eyes again.

(New Year’s Eve)

Justin’s POV

“Are you sure your mom’s ok with having the boys?” Jessica asked, biting down on her bottom lip as she placed her phone on the kitchen bench, and crossed her arms.

“Yeah, of course. She has nothing to do anyway.” I shrugged, kissing her cheek before picking up my ringing phone.

I private number flashed across the screen and I furrowed my eyebrows, picking it up and tapping ‘answer’.

“Hello?” I asked, as Jessica gave my lips a kiss and walking out the front door with the boys holding each of her hands, going to drop them off at my mom’s house.

“Ugh, is this Justin Bieber?” an older man, around his mid forties spoke into the phone.

“Ah yeah, it is.” I say, leaning against the counter where Jessica was one.

  “This is Jeremy, Jeremy Bieber.”

And then, my world came to a halt.

Jessica’s POV (sorry for the constant POV changes!)

I walked through the front door, slipping my jacket off my shoulders and stepping into the house, hearing my small heels click against the tiles.

“Justin?” I called out, just to hear my echo and no response.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion as a headed towards the stairs. I climbed them and walked towards Justin and I’s bedroom.

I opened the door and looked inside to see no one in the room. The shower wasn’t running and neither were any of the taps.

I gripped my phone from my pocket and drew it out, dialing Justin’s number. After about three rings, he picked up.

“Hey baby.” his raspy voice spoke into the phone, reassuring me.

“Hey, where are you?” I asked as I heard him pull into somewhere.

“Um yeah, my dad called and he was in town.” He started, as I heard a door slam shut and his footsteps.

“Oh, wow.” I replied, unable to say a real response.

“Yeah, it’s a lot. So he told me he was staying at Chris’s house for a few days and he wanted to see me.” He finished as I heard him knocking on the front door, at what I presumed was Chris’s house.

“Oh ok.”  I replied, a little disappointed that he didn’t take me with him.

We were getting married in a few months and I did want to meet his father. After all, I did name my son after his father.

“Ok baby girl, I gotta go. I’ll call you on my way home. Love you.”

And before I could even reply he ended the call, leaving me to sit on my bed alone.

I switched the TV on and flicked through the channels, finding an episode of Sponge Bob playing.

I settled on that a unzipped my jacket, leaving me in just my sweatshirt, sweatpants and fuzzy socks.

I guess I'm spending new years eve alone.
