38. How will I handle it?

Jessica’s POV

I smiled widely as Justin guided me up the marble staircase and into what looked like a master bedroom.

“This is our room.” Justin said happily, smiling.

“Oh and Jessica, there’s something else I have to tell you.” Justin sighed, sitting down on the edge of the bed, patting the spot next to him for me to sit down.

I cautiously sat next to him and he took my right hand, intertwining out fingers.

“Well baby, I’ve decided to go to the rehabilitation center in Toronto for 30 days, just in case I started using syringes again.” Justin sighed, breathing out his always-so-minty breath.

I gasped slightly, and looked at him smiling in support.

“I think, I think that’s a good idea.” I said, squeezing his hand.

“I just, don’t want to leave you again, for so long. And with the baby, and the boys. My job…” Justin mumbled, as I ran a hand through his hair.

“We’ll be fine. This is for the best, and hopefully you’ll recover and come home clean.” I said, putting on my most believable fake smile.

As much as I know this is what’s best for Justin and his health, as well as all of us really, I just don’t want him to leave us again.

Especially since I’m pregnant again.

“God, you’re amazing.” Justin mumbled, pulling me into him and breathing in my scent.

“So when are you going?” I asked.

“After new year. I don’t want to miss out on Christmas nor new years.” He explained, as I smiled and nodded.

“My first appointment is on the 3rd, can you come with me before you go?” I asked, a pout on my lips.

“I wouldn’t miss it for the word.” Justin mumbled on my lips before kissing them softly.

“Daddy!” we heard a small squeal come from the bedroom door. Zach and Flynn walked in, both holding their stuffed toys.

“Hey boys, come here.” Justin cooed, as they ran and jumped in bed with us.

Zach snuggled in the blankets with Flynn and Justin and I held hands over their small bodies.

“Now mommy and daddy have something to tell you.” Justin said, smiling.

“There’s another baby in the room.” I said, smiling slightly at their confused faces.

“Why isn’t it in bwed with us thwen?” Zach asked with furrowed eyebrows.

“That’s because it’s in mommy’s tummy.” Justin said, reaching over and placing a hand on my, for now, flat stomach.

I smiled as their faces lit up, but then Flynn frowned.

“Why would you eat the baby?” he asked, a pout evident on his lips.

I laughed out loud and ran a hand through his soft brown hair, wrapping my arms around his waist.

“Baby I didn’t eat the baby. It’s where he or she starts from.” I explained to Flynn, who nodded his head, smiling.

“When can we pway toys with the baby?” Zach asked, smiling widely.

Justin and I laughed and Justin replied,

“When he or she is born. In about 9 months.”

Zach and Flynn pouted before sitting up.

“We want to go to our woom. Therwe’s a wocketship bwed in thwere mommy!” Zach said, kissing my cheek before running out of our room with Flynn following close behind him.

Justin smiled and pulled me into him by the waist, moving down the bed until his face was in front of my flat stomach.

“I love you baby.” he said to my stomach, lifting up my shirt a bit and kissing it softly.

My heart melted at the sight, but then I thought of how he was going to rehab after new years and it shattered.

Another 30 days of being away from him.

How will I handle it, just as things were getting back on track?
