When the war had ended, we thought all was done

What do you do when you've spent the last five years of your life fighting for freedom and suddenly everything stops, the tyrants are dead and the revolution has won?

Write, you might say, but the restoration of the country to it's former glory in the elder days of the King is not going to be as easy as they thought. Especially when the new king is not all he seems to be.

10. Chapter 9

(*Soul's POV*)

This was going to take ages. Finding a blue book- without a title, but just a book nevertheless- in the midst of all the bookshelves looked impossible. Mina had already disappeared somewhere searching for it, but I took a good look around to see if it was plainly in sight. But that wouldn't make sense, would it? This book contained something important and most likely would have been kept in a more secretive place where it couldn't be randomly picked up.

Sighing, I walked through the library, scanning the bookshelves for a flash of blue. The smell of parchment wafted faintly through the air. It was hard to be negative in such a beautiful place, but somehow I'd managed it.

Most of the books I could see were red, with the occasional bit of green and other colours. But no blue. The door of the library suddenly opened and a woman stepped through, looking around.

'Rusty? Mina?' she called, looking around. 'Either of you two in here?'

'Shire? Is that you?' Mina emerged from halfway down the row of bookshelves.

'There you are!' Shire beamed. 'Come on, we have to go.'

'Go? Where? And what for?'

'The coronation! Where's Rusty?'

I know Jordan is no longer part of the staff anymore but the other authors and I will keep him as king in this story nevertheless.
