Because...I can love you more than this [Niall]

[It is a fan fiction - but because it is more like a romance, I will put it as romance]

Meet Jessie Brooks, 16-year-old teenager living in Nanaimo. She did not sing often, but she got her heart broken - unintentionally - by the guy she was in love with since grade 8. So, what happens when she starts posting cover more? Especially - If they are, One Direction covers.

Will a certain member notice it?

[I tried not to make this a cliché Fan Fiction, but it started as one. Also, it is technically 'based on my life' because, well, yeah.]

P.S.: My original story of this consists of 28 chapters - but this one was shorten due to lack of space for some chapters - as some of the ones I posted were shortened.

10. Chapter 12 – A day out in London…

Jessie's POV

Mark and I went to bed at about midnight, yeah, we spent about 4 hours talking about our lives here and back home.

Mark and I woke up at about 10 in the morning. When we woke up, we made ourselves breakfast. Well no, he made breakfast. I just sat there admiring his kindness. To be honest, he and Liam could be brothers if it wasn’t for the fact Mark had a reddish brown hair colour and blue eyes, darker than Niall’s. I guess he’d be like Niall and Liam combined in one. Personality and appearance wise.

Mark said, “So, Jess, when are we Skyping your friends?”

I laughed, “Mark they’re your friends too.”

He laughed, “I guess so… I haven’t seen them in so long.”

I giggled, “They’ll remember you, so you should be perfectly fine.”

He smiled, “Hopefully.”

I sighed, “They’ll remember you. They’ll be happy I’m with you. Especially Paige.”

He smiled, “Yeah, she loved us together even though we weren’t together.”

I chuckled, “She told you that too? She would tell me that…”

He smiled, “I guess she wanted us happy, and knew that we made each other happy.”

I giggled, “And now look where we are now.”

He smiled, “I’m the luckiest guy, or one of the luckiest guys. I have a beautiful girl.”

I blushed, “You’re handsome and make me a lucky girl.”

He smiled brightly, “Aww! I think we’re a little too adorable…”

I giggled, “It’s perfect for me, at least we aren’t making out every two minutes. We can have actual conversations.”

He smiled, “I like that about us.”

I smiled, “Me too, I love it actually.”

He kissed me, I didn’t hesitate to kiss back. His kisses seem more intoxicating to me right now. Now that we’ve kissed, I just wish time could stop and that we would just be kissing. They always seem so perfect.

Mark smiled, “You wish that we could just freeze time? Because I do…”

I giggled, “Same thing I was thinking.”

He smiled, “We are too much alike… Aren’t we?”

I nodded, “We’re way too much alike…”

I kissed him once before I went to my room. I went to go change. I thought I’d changed because Mark said that we’d go out and exploded London until later.

After I got changed, Mark and I walked to his place so he could get himself clothes. This is actually the first time I have been to his place. He lives with his dad and mom, but they travel between here and Canada a lot. Did I mention his dad is a pilot? If not, his dad is a pilot, which is why they travel back and forth. Mark has a sister, but she lives with their grandma back in Canada. That’s why his parents go there a lot. I guess you could say Mark lives by himself.

I said, “Mark you guys have a nice place.”

He said, “Thanks, it’s perfect for my parents and me.”

I said, “Yeah it is perfect for you guys.”

He laughed, “And your flat is too big for two people.”

I laughed, “Err, yeah, Niall and Harry lived there, Liam used to, but he moved out, so now it’s for two people.”

He nodded, “Okay, that makes more sense. Did they all live there at a point?”

I nodded, “When they first started, that’s where they live. Niall and Liam stayed in the room now known as Niall’s room. Harry and Louis stayed in the room now known as my room. Zayn stayed in the room now known as the music room. Zayn had his own room because he slept the most, and better on his own.”

He chuckled, “That’s cool, so they’ve owned that flat since 2010?”

I nodded, “Yeah, Simon still pays for half the bill though. I pay a quarter now.”

He nodded, “So is that why you got a job?”

I nodded, “Yeah, I thought I wouldn’t let Niall pay the half Simon doesn’t pay for by himself.”

He nodded, “That’s cool. I think we should go now though.”

I nodded, “Yeah we should.”

We walked out of his place hand in hand. Just perfect, I seriously love how he doesn’t mind that I don’t like too much PDA. I think he is just like me, he doesn’t mind waiting, as long as it’s worth the wait. I think these past few years, have been worth the wait.

I smiled at Mark, “I like this…”

He smiled, “Like what? Us?”

I nodded, “Yeah, I like us, I like you.”

He smiled, “Guess what?”

I said, “What?”

He smiled, “I like you too!”

I giggled, “Great! We like each other, it’s perfect.”

I smiled at the fact he didn’t say I love you so fast. My ex, he kind of said it faster than expected, I knew we both didn’t feel it. Maybe I feel it now, but I don’t know. My mind will speak sometime soon. Hopefully…

Mark said, “Yeah, we’re perfect.”

I smiled, “Together.”

He nodded, “Yes we are. I seriously should have listened to Paige in grade 9… We could have dated, and I could have just stayed back home with you.”

I smiled, “But then I wouldn’t have seen you in London…”

He said, “Actually, you wouldn’t have moved London. Considering you would have liked me instead of your crush back home.”

I sighed, “True that would have been better. I would have still wished to move here.”

He smiled, “Well I would have moved with you.” He quickly kissed my nose.

I scrunched my nose, “Aww, cute. Why do you kiss me nose.”

He chuckled, “What do you mean?” kiss “Like that,” another kiss “or like this?” Kiss on the lips.

I think I’ve died and became alive again. I love his kisses… I swear, his kisses will kill me one day. Awkward, that rhymes…

Mark smiled, “Did that answer your question?”

I shook my head, “Nope. It does give me little tingles though.”

He smiled, “Me too.”

I smiled, “Good, we’re on the same page.”

He smiled, “Yes we are. Anyways, go for some cocoa?”

I giggled, Paige and I, we called Mark cocoa. Want to know why? Here’s the thing. One time, we were hanging out, we went to the grocery story, and got some carrots. Others things as well, but that’s beside the point. Anyways, he asked for some carrots. He literally ripped the bag open, funny thing, it was zip lock bag. Anyways, because bunnies like carrots – or as told – he got stuck with cocoa because cocoa is hot chocolate. Easter bunnies like chocolate – or as told – Basically that’s the story.

Mark looked at me weird, “What’s so funny about cocoa?”

I giggle more, “Err, Paige and I used to call you cocoa as a code name, so that you wouldn’t know we were talking about you.”

He chuckled, “Makes sense.”

I smiled, “Yeah, we were weird people…”

He smiled, “I like that you can be weird.”

I smiled, “I like that you’re not too normal.”

He gasped playfully, “What do you mean by that?”

I chuckled, “I mean… You can make explosives…normal teenagers don’t really do that, at least usually.”

He laughed, “Okay, so you’re weird, and I’m not too normal?”

I nodded, “Yup!”

He laughed, “Cool!”

I smiled, “Let’s go get some cocoa now, I’m thirsty and cold.”

He chuckled, “Well come here then.”

I stood beside him and he put his arm around me. It felt so warm, at least I was warming up. I’ve been a little cold this whole time we’ve been outside. Mark and I smiled as we walked towards the closest café, which wasn’t the one we worked at. It was similar though, still a beautiful view outside. Even though it’s kind of windy, or at least really cold.

We reached the café, Mark said, “So just a hot chocolate?”

I said, “Err, maybe a muffin…wait scratch that, just hot chocolate.”

He chuckled, “Okay.”

There was line up so we had to wait for a little bit. Mark and I talked until the cashier asked what we wanted. Mark ordered for us.

We went to go sit down while we waited for our hot chocolates.

The cashier called our order and Mark went to go grab it.

Mark sat down and said, “Err, the cashier gave me his number for you…”

I laughed awkwardly, “Err, too bad he doesn’t know I have a sweet boyfriend already.”

He chuckled, “And I have a faithful girlfriend.” He kissed my cheek.

I smiled, “I’m glad you told me, so I can rip it up myself.” Rip, goes the paper.

He chuckled, “You’re too cute.”

I blushed, “Yeah… Sure…”

He chuckled, “It’s true, you’re cute.”

I smiled, “Thanks.”

We went back to drinking our hot chocolate’s in peace. Apparently, they weren’t too hot. They were actually quite warm… Maybe the cashier cooled them down… Err, that’s weird thoughts… Mark and I talked about random things throughout the time we spent in the café.

Mark decided we should go explore London more. We decided to go on a double decker bus. We walked to where we have to go on the tour. When we got there, we decided to take the red tour. I really want to see the London Bridge and London Eye. Then tomorrow we’ll take a tour at Warner Bros. Studios. I really want to see the studio, because I’ve seen all Harry Potter movies.

Mark looked at me, “Jess?”

I said, “Hmm?”

He said, “Look at me.”

I looked towards him, “Hmm?”

He chuckled, “I just wanted to tell you, I’m glad we can try now… To be honest, I wanted to try back in grade 9, but…Blake…he really did not like you.”

I sighed, “Mark, it’s totally okay. I wouldn’t know if I liked you or not… I mean have you ever wondered why Aaron and I never worked out...”

He chuckled, “Err, a little.”

I chuckled, “Aaron and I, we never worked out because I was in love with a total different person. He was in love with Paige. So I stopped it before one of us hurt the other without thinking. I don’t’ mean cheating, I just mean, emotionally and mentally.”

He nodded, “That’s make so much sense, I always wondered why they started dating not too long after.”

I sighed, “Err, yeah, Grace and I told Aaron that him and Paige would look cute together…and I guess he took it as a ‘go for it’ which it was.”

He chuckled, “That’s kind of you two.”

I smiled, “Err, yeah I did it for him. I didn’t want to hurt someone I liked because of someone I loved.”

He smiled, “Well, I’m glad you did that. Imagine it, you could have still been dating Aaron right now regretting it.”

I sighed, “I wouldn’t regret it, I’d hate it, not because of him, not because of me, but because my feelings wouldn’t be too strong.”

He chuckled, “Exactly my point.”

I smiled, “This is why I like you, you’re smart.”

He chuckled, “And I like you because you seem to complete me.”

I smiled, “You’re too cheesy…”

He chuckled, “I didn’t even know that was cheesy…”

I laughed, “Awkward…”

He chuckled, “Totally…”

I sighed, “We need a new conversation.”

He nodded, “Yes we do.”

I said, “Remember back in grade 9… You and I argued over stupid things?”

He laughed, “Like what…?”

I laughed, “Err, when we were talking at youth group, and we were talking about chemistry in the café area, and you were like, ‘there’s a lot of Chromium in here’ – or something along those lines – and we argued what atomic number Chromium was.”

He chuckled, “I remember that, I just didn’t know that was you…”

I laughed, “Awkward…”

He laughed, “We’re two awkward teenagers in love, who talk about old arguments to do with Chemistry. Yeah, we’re definitely normal…”

I giggled, “In love?”

He said, “Err… Yeah. If that works…”

I chuckled, “It works perfectly.”

He smiled, “Good, because Jess, I’m in love with you.”

I smiled, “I’m in love with you too.”

With that we kissed, it was short, but cute. Mark and I walked back to my flat. Whoa – for once I said my instead of Niall and I’s flat. Accomplishment, I guess, I could say, I’m proud.

Mark… He’s special. I am truly in love with him. Not ready for I love you though…
