6. That little bit of truth behind rumors

His hand brushed against my neck breethly hovering against my jawline with his thumb and the back of my neck with the rest of his sturdy hand. My body was shivering lightly.

Would I seriously cave under the first bit of attention I got?

Would I let him orbit me to a place I could have never even dreamed of reaching?

His hot but sweet breath surrounded me as his heavenly male odor flourished against my nostrils. I wanted to say no. But my body was saying yes. I needed to say no, I had to. But I couldn't. Who was I to threaten Stacey's sexual desired puppets?

"Look," He breathed out. His eyes looking away from mine for a slight moment to absorb our surrounding and the flipping on of the shower directly across the hall.

"I have to--" I breathed in sharply turning my head so he would recognize how afraid I had simply became in just a matter of minutes. I felt like a new person. One that was waiting for someone to swoop me up and take my soul..... My feelings at least.

His hand was rested against my hips holding me in place in case I decided to run like he knew I would. If all else fails escape right?

His eyes finally met with mine again with his nose still close to mine. I knew what he wanted to do. I wasn't oblivious to all things that teens do now-a-days. I just didn't know how.

He simple nodded as if he heard ever word, every breath, ever sentence that rummaged through my mind. He brought his lips close to mine. Ready to do something that would change us and everyone around us forever.

But he didn't. He backed away moving out of the window in a swift motion. Like everything he did to me never happened. Like he didn't care that he left me standing here speechless, motionless and thoughtless.

I stood there for a moment... maybe It was minutes... could've been hours. But as soon as I realized how dumbfounded I must have looked, I quickly settle down in my bed.

I rummaged through my messenger bag quickly walking towards the exit doors. I was supposed to be meeting Aisha there because Johnny wasn't at school today. But for some reason I feel like her asking me to meet her specifically there wasn't why.

I'd been catching the mean look from everyone and mostly every girl at school today.

"Oh, look at Isaac's new skank." A girl whispered to her friend pointing in my peripheral. I quickly turned to look at who the recent gossip was about but everyone I turned to had a wicked grin looking towards me.

I was beginning to grow more nervous by the instant but I had to meet up with Aisha. This was almost the end of study hall and everyone was allowed to sit in the parking lot instead.

That's when I caught wind of Aisha. Sitting on the hood of Johnny's car. I knew it was his because of the way she was so comfortable on top of it while completely ignoring everyone else's smart comments.

"Aisha" I whispered "Is this Johnny's car?"

"Of course Little bo Peep. Him,  the Jocks, And the Bitch Squad ditched for the waves today."

"Waves?" I wiggled my arms in the motion of the sea crinkling my nose up.
And before I knew it,  there went Aisha erupting in a volcano of laughter flailing her arms in emanation of me.

Personally  , I saw nothing Funny about the shore, But obviously...  My own nerditude was humorous to some.

"Well," she gasped for air.

"I was hoping you'd be down for partyin' tonight after they get back." She raised her shoulders

"Partying? " quivered out of my mouth before my brain had time to realize how unequivocal I sounded compared to the average modern teenager..

Aisha's light lipstick brushes lips curled upward in astonishment.
"Oh Yeah. My bad girl. I totally forgot You were You."
She grinned motioning me to get in the truck.

" I really need to associate my mom with the conclusion of me going." I said opening the door.

"Screw it girl. She'll understand ya' need a lil' hang time. "
she smiled jamming the keys into the ignition.

"And that's when I saw em." Aisha finished stroking her lingering hands through my past shoulder length mocha brown hair.

" So Johnny just left his friends like that?" I questioned spinning around on Aisha's stool to face the mirror in her rather big room.

I'd never seen a room so captivating.  Her walls were splashed with a violet hue of color accompanied by rosey drapes.

It was as if this one room could haven our whole  old apartment.  She was spoiled.  That wasn't even the word for it.

"Umm... Yes." She posed for a moment.

"Wouldn't You drop everything for a bangin' body like this?"

I simply nodded giggling .

"Anyway, like I was saying.--" she continued while twisting And twirling some kind of thingy gadget hair majiggy through my hair.

"SO, after my old friends basically threatened to tell daddy that I was seeing a white boy, my little thing for jerk face Johnny was over. "

"What does your dad have to do with it?" I mumbled avoiding jerking movements.

"Dad hates Johnny's family.  Johnny's dad cheated him out of almost of mil' in a gambling thing years ago. " she stopped for a moment. Breathed in hard And continued.

"But don't think his dad is too oopsie Daisy about me either... Enough with that... We're all done. "
She dropped the hair curler flipping the stool so I was facing the mirror.

I know it must sound pretty cliché.  Ya know.. friend goes over,  friend fixes nerd up, Nerd becomes Ms. Popular.
But when my eyes connected with the clear surface.. that..that, the person looking back, It wasn't me.
It couldn't be... Could it?

My hair was curled towards the end. Kind of like those little curly fries my dad And I used to eat together when he actually still visited.

But, that's not the point. Even my freckles stood out remorselessly  against my lightly pastel pink cheeks.
"Can I keep it?" I whispered as if I spoke too loud the person looking back at me would vanish.

"Umm... Home girl keep what? Damn sho' ain't my good curlers. " Aisha said walking over to her large walk in closet.

"This.. This Look." I turned to her not wishing to remove my eyes from my new view.
She stopped giggling for a moment grabbing her tummy then rummaging through the desired set of clothes And scattering back over to me.

"Let's try on this--"

"I'm not trying on anymore skirts or dresses." I mumbled raising a finger.

"OK OK OK." She shoved a pair of black skinny Jeans And a kiss shirt in my face causing me to tumble backwards on the floor.

"Tonight is gone be one to rememba'!"
