Fighting for Love (LOUIS TOMLINSON)

It all started with the one thing that everyone needs LOVE. Some people never learned to love, trust, and have faith in any relationship. Never loved by anyone growing up as an orphan, Laura Phillip has no clue what love is or what comes with it. Louis Tomlinson was her only friend in the orphanage. Once they were old enough to leave the orphanage Laura was gone. When her and Louis meet again what will happen. When he tries to confess is attraction to her, will the truth come out? Will he finally realize all the issues that lie in her shadow? Will he be able to show her, what love is and how to love or will it all end in heartbreak for the one and only Louis?

Let’s find out.

6. The Visit

***Niall’s POV***

It’s been a week of this. A week of hearing Louis’ quiet sobs from through the door separating him from the rest of us. He’s been in his room for an entire week. He hasn’t come out to eat, drink, or even talk to any of us. I’m afraid he’ll eventually die in there if I don’t do something about this. I don’t know who this girl is but I’ve had enough of this shit. I think it’s about time I pay that bitch a visit…

“Dammit,” I said to myself. I’ve been driving around for an hour now trying to get to Laura’s house. I remember dropping Louis off there once but besides that I’ve never been there. After a few wrong turns, I had no idea where I was.

I drove down the Las Vegas side streets, trying to find the familiar road names. Fortunately, I came across Charleston Avenue, and I was almost certain this is the road she lived on. A few minutes later I noticed the apartment complex that I’ve only seen once. It took a hell of a lot of effort to get here, so hopefully it’ll be worth it and I can talk some sense into this girl.

After following someone into the gated complex and parking my car, the realization hit me. I have no idea which fucking apartment she’s in. There’s got to be at least 40 buildings of apartments in this place.

I wandered around until I found what looked to be an office. I walked in to find a fancy lobby, with a desk towards the back of it. I looked around, finding a few people sitting on patterned chairs, and a door leading to a pool. Walking towards the desk, I received a few strange glances. I wondered if the glances were because they’ve never seen me around before, or if they recognized me. I doubt they recognized me because to be honest, these people weren’t exactly the age of most of our fans. I ignored the eyes watching me and continued up to the desk, to be greeted by a young woman in a business suit and glasses. She wore a name tag that read “Eleanor Calder”.

“Good afternoon,” she said sweetly.

“Hello, I just had a question for you.”

“Sure, w-what do you need?”

“I was wondering if you could tell me which unit Laura Phillip is in?”

***Eleanor’s POV***

Holy shit.  Niall Horan is standing in front of me right now.  Niall was always my favorite in One Direction - along with Zayn, and somehow he ended up in this apartment complex, in this lobby, in front of this desk. I must be dreaming. As much as I want to scream and jump around like the fangirl I am, I need to keep it cool.

“I’m sorry sir, but I can’t reveal that information.” I said quietly, not wanting to upset my favorite person in the world, but I would probably get in serious trouble if someone found out I told him where she lived. Laura’s actually one of my friends.  She’s been acting weird that past week or so, I should probably go and see her later.

***Niall’s POV***

I scoffed in frustration.

“What do you mean you can’t reveal that information? I’m not a rapist or a stalker, so if you could please tell me where she is that would be great.”

I felt bad for acting like a jerk but the faster I could get to the girl that’s been causing Louis to suffer, the better.

I’m hoping she’s a fan, or this plan won’t work out very well.

“Don’t you recognize me?” I said with a grin.

“Y-yes I do, I’m actually a big fan.” She said shyly.

I mentally fist pumped and continued on, “Well, how about you tell me where Laura lives, and you can have these?”

I pulled two concert tickets out of my back pocket and placed them on the desk. They were for our show coming up in a few weeks here in Vegas.

Her eyes got wide and I smirked. “Okay, okay! She lives in unit 2051,” she said, grabbing the tickets and placing them in her purse.

***Eleanor’s POV***

Shit.. I probably shouldn’t have sold Laura out for concert tickets but hell, I wouldn’t have been able to go to the concert if I didn’t get these! I’m not rich, and those tickets aren’t  cheap…

The thought of why Niall would be looking for Laura went through my mind and I felt a pang of jealousy. What does she have that he would want?

***Niall’s POV***

I thanked Eleanor and left with a “See you at the concert!” and a wink. I swear I thought she was going to faint then and there. Once I got out of the lobby, I rolled my eyes and smiled. Then I remembered why I was here and the smile faded.

I wandered around the giant complex, finally reaching the door that had the numbers “2051” plastered onto it. I stood outside the door, trying to gather the nerve to knock on the door and give her a piece of my mind. I came all the way here, and I’m not leaving until the girl understands that she can’t mess with Louis’ emotions like I guess she has been.

I pounded on the door a few times, waiting for an answer.

I pounded on it again, hoping that she’s home and that I didn’t waste my time coming here.

“Ahem,” I heard someone cough from behind me.

I spun around and saw a girl who I’d imagine is Laura. She had a Starbucks Frappuccino in her hand, and sunglasses on top of her head.

“What are you doing in front of my apartment?” She said sassily.

“Are you Laura?” I asked with a raised eyebrow.

“Yes, can you tell me why you’re here?” She asked.

I was pretty surprised that she didn’t recognize me.

“You don’t know who I am?”

“Um, no. Should I?”

I rolled my eyes and figured I should get to the point, “Never mind. Do you know Louis Tomlinson?”

***Laura’s POV***

My heart dropped when I heard his name. I still felt bad for what I did to him last week. I wonder why this guy is here and how he knows Louis.

“W-well, yeah, I do.. What’s it to you?” I said, stuttering but getting myself under control and shooting him a glare. “Who even are you and why the hell are you here?” I continued.

He narrowed his eyes, “I’m here because you ruined my best friend’s life. Louis has been in his room crying for the last week.” His voice got louder as he continued to talk, “He hasn’t come out to eat, drink, or even talk. What the fuck did you do to him?!”

A single tear escaped my eye and ran down my cheek.

“I’m sorry. I wish that I could tell you and I wish that I could learn to love him. But those things will never happen. I feel bad for what I did to him but he needs to understand that I could never open up to him, it’s too hard for me. When you see him please tell him that I’m sorry but I don’t think I can handle talking to him anymore.”

***Niall’s POV***

My face full of anger faded into one of confusion, then compassion. This certainly didn’t go as planned. I know that this girl has so many secrets that she’s hiding. I can tell by the look in her eyes that she’s keeping things to herself that she needs to tell someone. I know it’s not my place to question her about it, so I pushed the thoughts out of my mind.

“What happened between you two?” I asked, sorrow lining my words.

“I really don’t want to talk about it right now,” she said, her voice cracking. She pushed past me and unlocked her door, shutting it behind her before I could get any more words in.

I really wish I could’ve got it out of her. I wanted to know what could’ve happened that would break two people so badly.

I wonder what secrets Louis is keeping from me…
