Learning to Trust

*Sequel to Different From the Rest*
Kady is grown up now. She is now eighteen, a far cry from fourteen. There is no One Direction, if you asked your kids about them they'd be like "are you high again?" Kady's stutter is long gone, but the fears from it will never surrender. Being alone, forgotten, useless. Mainly she can't trust, anyone, not others around her, not herself. She makes a mistake that can't be fixed, and must go on with her life. Kady has to learn that you must leave the past behind you before you can move forward and not all mountains can be moved. It's a bowl of cherries, with a few-no many, nuts thrown in.

16. Nadi Drew Payne

*5 months later*

"Just grab my hand," I do so squeezing my teeth together. I hold my breath and I can feel my face turning red.
"You okay Kads?" Liam asks. I nod my head and I keep holding my breath. There is a pain taking over my whole body that's too hard to explain, it's just everywhere. My fingers are twitching uncontrollably. A doctor tells me to calm down, but I can't.
"THE BABY'S COMING!" I scream as I feel something coming out. I keep screaming from the unbearable pain that's taken over me.
"All done, Mrs. Payne," says the doctor. I breath heavily from giving birth.
"Mr. and Mrs. Payne, it's a girl!" he says. Liam kisses my forehead as I rock the girl who has been wrapped in blanket in my arms.
"What should we name her, Cinderblock?" Liam says jokingly.
"Stop, we were just naming our plants in science class in eighth grade and Jane wanted to name one of hers Brick. As a joke in Language Arts, I named a character Cinderblock, let it go Li!"
Liam takes a faded sticky note out of his pocket and there are girls names on it:

I really like the names Nadi, Dawn, and Drew. Liam looks over my shoulder as I read the names one by one again.
"What about Nadi Drew Payne?" I ask.
"Perfect," I say giving him a quick peck on the lips.

After we sign the papers and after two days, we can finally go home. I'm sure I don't want to go home because of the whole Summer drama. Summer pleaded guilty, but we still have to go along to court to figure out her punishment. Nadi Drew is a very quiet for a newborn baby. Liam, who six months ago got his driver's license, drives the three of us to our house.
"Nadi Drew, this is our house, you will love it here," says Liam patting her on the head. I unbuckle Nadi Drew and we take her into her room that still needs more furniture.
"This is your room, are you tired?" asks Liam. She yawns and Liam puts her down. I go into the kitchen and I take out Ritz Crackers. How am I supposed to raise a child after all the stuff with Summer? I don't want all the drama with Nadi Drew, I don't want her to know who One Direction is. She should have real friends, not those kids that pretend to be friends with her in order for their moms to meet Liam. That's what happens with Louis, Eleanor, Kensington, Michael, Danny, and their newborn, Adrianna. I eat away my pain, I will never be forgotten by the paparazzi, but I may be forgotten by friends, Nadi Drew will have the paps and the "friends" that will never forget. The only way to do so is drop all charges against Summer and never leave our house again-not happening. I hear Liam coming down the stairs and I pretend to be occupied by inspecting an apple.
"I don't know, she shouldn't have to go through this, but what choice do we have?" Liam asks reading my mind. He's one of those people that always knows what you are thinking at any given second.
"I know this is a private town, like back home so there won't be paps as long as she doesn't leave. We could home school her, but that will lead to bigger problems up the road," I say to Li.
"Mhh, yea I think we should keep her in this town as long as possible, it isn't like there isn't anything to do," he says and there's a knock on the door. It must be El and the gang, they never miss out on anything. Sure enough it's them with the Malik's, Harry, Emme, and Niall. Liam opens the door, "Congrats! First of many babies!"
Yells Perrie. Little Adrianna has a balloon tied around her wrist that says 'Congratulations Liam and Kady!' This is exactly what we did for Lou and El when they had baby number four.
"Thank you!" I say inviting everyone in. The Calder-Tomlinson kids have to be guided in by El who already has her hands full with Adrianna and shopping bags. I take Adrianna from her as Liam goes upstairs to get Nadi Drew.
"So, what's her name?" asks Perrie all excited.
"Nadi Drew," I say mimicking her tone. Emme comes running up to me, "I've missed you so, so, so much Kads!"
"Who told you to call me Kads?"
"Daddy," she says and I shoot Harry a look. He laughs in return.
"Niall and Harry, how's girlfriend season coming along?" I ask as a joke, but I get an answer from Niall, "Fine, I guess. I haven't talked to Valerie since and Peyton and I have quietly been seeing each other."
"As you might know, I'm dating Lena now and she adores Emme, because obviously, Emme looks like me!" Harry puts his hands under his chin and bats his eyes.
"I knew about Lena, not Peyton though," I say. Was Peyton trying to cut me out? She was the first person I told about Liam.
