Out of Time (16+)

Zayn's a contract killer. He's hired by people all over the world to kill certain people for certain reasons. He doesn't care who they are or what they did. He's got one job. Eliminate the target and don't leave a trace.

"Slow... down." I heard Savanna say, out of breath.. "Why?" I chuckled. "I'm... used to jogging... not... running." She panted. I laughed and shook my head, slowing myself down to a walk. She came to a quick stop and rummaged through her bag. "What are you looking for?" I asked. She looked up at me with panic in her face, mouthing to me, 'my inhaler, I can't breathe.'

Part of me said that this should be the way I killed her, but part of me said not yet. I quickly shook the thoughts out of my head and run over to her, sitting her down and tossing everything out of her bag. I looked down in the bag as everything  was out, seeing a purple inhaler sitting at the bottom. "Here!" I said handing it to her quickly. She shook it and quickly took a big breath, taking it two more times before laying flat on her back.

"A-are you ok?" I stuttered, watching her eyes flutter closed. "Yeah, I'm fine, I just need a minute to rest." She said. I nodded and started to replace the things in her back, taking the inhaler out of her hand and putting it in the front pocket. "You didn't have to do that." She said sitting up. I shrugged and helped her to her feet, handing her bag to her as well. "I think we should get you home though." I said. "Alright, can't argue with that." She laughed lightly. We walked out of the park and back to the apartment buildings.

Just as we turned the corner, my phone began to ring. "Excuse me for a moment." I said pulling my phone out. The screen was lit up and I saw Mr. Coopers number, I pressed the ignore button and continuing to walk with Savanna. "Thank you for what you did back there," She said shyly. "Huh?" I asked. "You found my inhaler, honestly if I had that and you weren't there, I would've died." She said, the last word sending chill up my spine. All I could think about was 'but you are going to die. Maybe not tomorrow, or the next day, but your time is short.' "I'm sorry about what happened." I forced out. "Eh, it's alright." She shrugged, as I opened the apartment door for her.

We both walked up the stairs and I saw her boyfriend standing outside their door. "Hey babe, whatcha doing?" He asked Savanna, eyeing me suspiciously. "Well, I bumped into Zayn here walking out of our door and it turned out we were both going for a jog, so I invited him to jog with me." She smiled. "Mhm." He said, almost unconvinced. "Well thank you for running with me Zayn, it was lovely." She smiled. "I enjoyed it too." I nodded.

"Goodbye Zayn." She waved walking into her room as her boyfriend glared at me. "Goodbye Savanna." I said softly, shutting my door behind me. I walked to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water and turned the TV on. I sat on the couch and pulled my phone out as it began to ring, it being Mr. Cooper once again. I pressed  the green icon to answer the call. "Zayn Malik speaking."
