Hot Chocolate

Bella Roberts lives in Cornwall with her Dad, Jack, in a seaside town called St Ives. Jack is delighted when he hears the news of a job transfer to Bristol when he learns it will pay twice as much as his job in St Ives. Bella is not. She is forced to leave her friends and her peaceful life in St Ives for a new life in the bustling city of Bristol.

I'm really sorry if you're upset by any of the issues raised in this story.

3. Leaving

Harry and I followed my dad back home, Harry held my hand tightly the whole way. When we finally arrived back at my house the removal van was ready to leave straight away. Suddenly I began to panic,
"Harry, I don't think I can do this," I said, "I don't think I can just say good-bye and leave St Ives, my friends and... you."
"But you have to go, Bella. And you can come and visit as often as you like, it's only a train ride away," Harry attempted to comfort me.
This was it. I was leaving.
My Dad began hugging and saying good-bye so I followed suit. I said good-bye to my friends first: Holly, Millie, Rachel and Ellie. We were all in tears but laughing at each other because we all looked such wrecks with mascara down our cheeks. Then I said good-bye to Harry.
I hugged him as tight as I could and I nuzzled into his chest. I didn't want to let go, to say good-bye, but I had to.
"Bye harry," I managed to utter between sniffs.
"Bye Bella, I'll always love you," he said as he kissed my forehead. The tears rolled, one after the other, down my cheeks.
Finally, my Dad and I got into the car and as we left, the last thing I saw was Harry's face. His eyes were glistening and red, and then one lonely tear fell to the ground as we turned the corner and left St Ives.
