Grace Academy

Anna is rebellious, wild and creative. So is Cat, her best friend at school. Then the summer holiday comes, Cat is away in Turkey, and Anna's Mother is too busy with her job as Head of Queenville. Then one day her Mother announces the new school opening in the area, Grace Academy! Anna is forced to attend for the holidays and maybe she will be transferred from her old school to Grace Academy forever!

'Please talk to me Anna,' pleaded Anna's mum. Anna said nothing, she was still fuming.

'You can't stay silent forever.' Anna doubted that. She was pretty angry at her mum, and at this level of anger, she could stay silent for a long time. I mean, how could she, thought Anna. Just sign her up to this random academy during her precious summer?

'I don't even understand what your annoyed at me about! Just sitting there saying nothing does not help me,' snapped her Mum, and Anna knew that she had just about managed to not speak without her Mum getting annoyed but she could tell by her voice that she was growing angry.

'You want to know why I'm annoyed huh?' snapped Anna, her arms folded against her chest, she twisted in her seat to face her Mum.

'Yes, I do,' said her Mum calmly. Anna could tell by the smug look on her face that she was pleased she had got Anna to talk, but she let the thought leave her mind. She was to busy forming the perfect speech in her head.

'I'll tell you why I'm angry. Because YOU have all of a sudden signed me up to some stupid school during my holidays! MY holidays, not yours, MY holidays. I was going to do things but now I can't can I? No! Because I'm stuck at your stupid school!'

'You weren't going to do anything because Cat's in Turkey-'

'I don't care!' yelled Anna. Her mum looked taken aback so she continued on her angered rant.

'It was still my holidays, and I could have done whatever I wanted, but instead I'm at your dumb school helping you with some ridiculous experiment!'

'It's an academy,' her Mum said, her face showing no emotion. Anna couldn't tell if she was calm or annoyed or angry. She continued.

'Does it matter? You said I could just help you! Is this your way of me helping you? Because it's not help, it's forcing me to participate!' She was about to say another long speech, but her Mum cut her short.

'Look Anna, I didn't realise you would be this upset but you don't have anything better to do and you can make new friends-'

'I don't care anymore! Just leave me alone!' Anna cried as they parked in the drive way. She forced open the door, unlocked the house and ran instantly up to her room.
