A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

5. The Interview

I immediately hugged him, it felt so great to be held by his arms again. He smelled of Herbs, but it was a pleasant smell. He also had some cologne on, and was wearing a black suit.

"How are you? I missed you." He said playing with my hair.

"I'm great - now! And I missed you more! How did you get here?"

"I took the train."

"I meant, here in the wedding, do you know the bride?" I asked excited.

"Do I know her? She's my cousin, didn't you know?"

"No! Really?"

"Yup. But I didn't only come here because of the wedding."

"Then why did you come here?" I asked partly hoping to hear a specific answer.

"To see you." He simply said. Allowing my emotions to go all crazy. hoping for it was one thing, but hearing it was another. I sighed and took his hand.

"It's so good to be with you again." I said. His fingers went slowly from my hair to my cheek, then he pulled me slowly to a gentle kiss, then he laughed.

"Do you know that people ask me so much about you? They even envy me for being so lucky to be your boyfriend." I giggled.

"They don't know that you are the reason I'm what I am?" I asked.

"I don't know if all of them do. But it's getting crazy, really. You managed to take the first page of The Daily Prophet."

"The wizarding newspaper? Wow, that's something!"

"It is indeed. You wanna see how people act when they hear your name?" He asked. I nodded. He took my hand and took the lead. We just stood there, with a crowd of people, then I heard someone say;

"Oh my god! It's Alex Cross!" It was woman. She was not very old, nor was she young. She looked like she was in her thirties or so, she wore a velvet blue dress, and black glasses, and her hair was short and so blonde that it was nearly white. Walking next to her, was a small notebook and a  pen, like the ones we used at Hogwarts. She walked towards me and offered me her hand to shake it. I hesitated at first, leaving her to look at me strangely, but then I shook it. "My name is Reeta, Reeta Skeeter, and I write articles for the daily prophet. We've been dying to meet you. So can we talk for a bit?" I wasn't sure about how to feel. It felt amazing to be kinda famous and everything, but I wasn't really in the mood for an interview. I looked at Sirius questioning him with my eyes. And that gave Rita's attention to him. "Oh, and her boyfriend's here too? I didn't see you there, excuse my dumb vision. It would be absolutely great if the interview was with both of you." She said looking from Sirius to me.

"I don't know-"

"Let's set here." She said sitting on a chair of the nearest table, taking both Sirius and me by the arms.

"So - tell me. How did this whole thing happen, really?" No, that was really bad after thinking. I didn't want to talk about my kiss with Sirius, well, not to someone who I didn't know, working for the daily prophet.

"How do you think it happened?" I asked. This was a good technique, answering the question with a question.

"Well, we do know that it happened because of a kiss. But, tell me more about it, the details?" I looked at Sirius. Was punching this woman in the face impolite? Because that's what I really felt like doing right now.

"No." I said simply.

"We don't like to talk about it, in public." Sirius helped me, warping his arm around my shoulder. The pen was writing some stuff on the small notebook the whole time. I tried to read some of it, but it was pointless. Reeta looked taken aback.

"But, how do you feel now that you're half a witch?"

"I'm really happy. It's what every muggle wishes for." I answered honestly.

"Indeed. And we know about the decision the Ministry of Magic took. What do you think about it? Are you happy? Excited? Nervous?"

"Well, all of them. I'm really happy and excited but, I'm also really nervous and everything. I mean, It's something new, and everything new is kinda scary."

"One more question. When you were sorted last year, what house were you in?"

"Ravenclaw, and it was really great."

"Right. Thank you." She said shaking my hand again. She stood up and left. Leaving me with Sirius alone again.

"I wasn't really planning on getting her attention." Sirius said. I laughed. "Now that your half a witch I'll get to see you more, and I'm really thrilled about that."

"I can't wait for Sunday." I said. Sirius and I stayed there for a while, we talked a bit and laughed about silly stuff. I really couldn't believe he was there with me, I was really happy. People began to notice me after a time, and they talked to mum about me, she got really confused about nearly everyone knowing about me, so I told her all about the Daily Prophet thing. Then we decided to dance, Sirius and I.
