A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

111. The Funeral

I started looking for Lucius everywhere. I should find him, I should see if knows about what happened. God, he'll get devastated. Katy and him have been together for long. Voldemort must be the one responsible for this. I've never wanted to stop being a Death Eater more than now. I know he's the most evil person on Earth, I know it now.

I should destroy him now that I know about his secret, the locket.

I ran to our dormitory, calling for Lucius. I found him sitting on the ground, not crying, not doing anything really, just staring at the ground.

"Lucius?" I called. "Are you alright?"

"I just pinned my girlfriend's dead body to the school's gates." He said in almost a whisper, emotionless. "How better can I be?" I was shocked. He did that?

"Wait.. you only pinned her body, right? You didn't kill her." I said.

"No, but I did. I told her it's a good idea to go to him, I told her he might forgive her. How could I be so stupid! Look what happened to her now!" I wasn't sure what to do. Should I be mad at him? Should I feel sorry for him? "Her sister told her not to go after they met, but she listen to me. Look where that got her."

"Wait, her sister's here?" I asked. He nodded.

"She's staying in the Leaky Cauldron." I turned away from him, not knowing what to say to him. I walked out of the dorm. I'm going to tell her, she should know before she goes back to the USA. She should see her sister one last time, she should be in the funeral.

In the Leaky Cauldron, I asked for the room of a girl whose last name is Martin. Lucius's told me about her name before, but I can't remember it.

I knocked at her door and she opened it. She looked nothing like Katy. She looked pale and scared.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"I'm - I'm Regulus Black. Lucius's friend." She started closing the door, but I blocked it with my foot. "Wait. There's something you should know."

"What?" She said crossly.

I can't tell her..

"Katy." I paused trying to find the right words. "She- he didn't forgive her." If possible, she went even paler. She was as white as paper.

"What? What does that suppose to mean?"

"She's-" I started.

"Liar, you're a liar. You came here to lie to me."

"I'm not lying to you." I said. "She's dead." I finally said, not able to find more suitable words. Martin passed out and I caught her in my arms. Why did I come here?

-The Next Day

The funeral's gonna be in my parents' house. I can't believe I'll go there. I can't believe I'll meet them. I might as well kill them when I do for not keeping an eye on my sister. But then again I might as well kill myself for not persuading her to listen to me.

I can't even feel anything anymore.

I can't believe she's gone.

Now who do I have? No one. I am all alone in this world.

There was a knock on my door and when I opened it I found Regulus there. I bought a black dress, for I brought none with me. Regulus is being extremely good, he's going to take me to the funeral. I think there will be lots of people from Hogwarts there. I'll meet some relatives who I don't know. I don't even know if I'll go there as her sister, because I'm almost certain my parents wouldn't want that.

"There's a Portkey in Diagon Alley, we'll go there." Regulus said. I nodded, taking his lead.

I can't even remember this house. Maybe they moved out after they sent me away? Well, it might be that or I simply can't remember the place.

People were getting into the house, coming from everywhere. Some were crying, some were trying to calm the others down, I wasn't sure what to do. Should I cry? But I can't.. I can't even cry anymore. It's like my eyes got dried from all of the crying I did. Everyone was wearing black, like me. Regulus's hand found its way to mine, I looked at him and blushed. He's a good guy, I wish I got to know him sooner.. or actually I don't think I do, it wouldn't have changed anything. He lives in the magical world and I in the muggles' world.

"I don't know if I can do this." I told Regulus.

"It's okay.. you can do it. I'll be with you." He said. "I know we don't know each other that well, but I will be here." If it only were about this. My sister's dead, I'm going to her funeral. Also, I'm going to meet my parents who basically abandoned me. How can I do this?

At least I have someone by my side. "Whenever you're ready." Regulus said. I nodded, knowing I never will be.

"I'm ready." I lied, because I knew I never will be. I started walking towards the house.

Her picture was there, she looked really pretty in that one, I always liked it. Next to her picture stood both my parents, my mother had a red nose and dad had his arm around her, even that he was shaking hands with someone else.

Grieve. What a terrible thing!

I'm supposed to be standing with them, people are supposed to be here to attributable me.

"May her soul rest in peace." I said, not showing any emotion at all, as I walked to my parents. They both seemed surprised - shocked.

"Are you-?"

"Jasmine. The kid's sister. I had to be in the funeral whether you told me about it or not." I said turning away from them.

Katy, I wish you were by my side.

"I'm sorry for your sister, Jasmine." whispered Regulus, he was standing next to me, trying to support me.

I just nodded.
