A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

19. Meet Jasmine

Alex's P.O.V

The next day I had many classes; Charms, History of Magic, Herbology, Potions, Alchemi and Magic Basics. These classes were not new to me, well, except for the Alchemi and Magic Basics'. The Alchemi class was horrible. Not horrible because it was bad, but because it was so hard, that I really started losing hope. But after thinking, it was my very first Alchemi class, and I have been a muggle forever, and it must be a bit harder for me. That's why I should keep studying and I should also do my best to understand everything in the classes.

What was good about my timetable was that Clara and Max shared both my Charms and Potions classes. Actually these classes, and the Herbology class were the most crowded. Each other class only had about ten to twenty students and it wasn't that much for me. Alchemi had the least amount of students, probably because it's hard and not everybody needs it in their future jobs.

I still haven't taken the Magic Basics class. To take it, I needed to find my professor, or actually, my teacher. Sirius. I went to the Great Hall in hopes to find him there, but I didn't. I told him yesterday to meet me by the Great Hall at the class's time so that we can start the class, but he must've forgotten all about it.

I decided to go his common room, but I also thought that it was nearly impossible to get in there. To get in there I needed to know the password, and I didn't have the password of the Gryffindor's common room. And why should I, while it's supposed to remain a huge secret?

I wasn't certain what to do, so I went to the Gryffindor's common room, and waited outside. After a while the fat lady decided to ask me;

"What are you doing here, young lady?"

"Well," I started. "I want to come in. But I know the rules, I can't get in there without a password. But the thing is, I have a class now, with one of the Gryffindor's students and he probably forgot all about it. The class is really important for me and I have to remind him of it, but what can I do? So, I'm waiting here for someone to-"

"Ally!" The fat lady's gate suddenly opened and there stood Sirius.

"You came early." I said sarcastically.

"I'm - I'm terribly sorry Alex. Um, I - I didn't forget about the class, but the thing is, I didn't know it was the class's time already." Sirius was now half the way towards me.

I was kinda angry with him. Just a little tiny bit angry, but even thought, I nodded and forgot all about it, as if it never happened.

"Okay, so - where should we go to study?" I asked.

"There's an empty classroom in the third floor, umm, professor Flitwick told me to give you the class in there."

"Cool." I said. Sirius came closer to me.

"You sure you forgive me, Ally?" He asked. His voice warm, and his eyes sorry. I smiled.

"Yeah." I breathed.

"Great." He leaned down and kissed my cheek. I immediately blushed, I don't know why I still blush when he kisses my cheek, it's getting silly, really. I wish I could control my blushing. He touched my cheeks with the tip of his fingers and we stood there for a while. Then he held my hand. "Come on." And I followed him to where he went.

Kyle's P.O.V

I took my books and went outside. The school day was over, and I was leaving. Mum was still driving. Just this week. I said to myself in the way walking to the car. Mum was not there yet, so I stood there for a long time.

The girl who I saw the first of school with her friends, the one who reminded me of Clara, she shared all of my classes, but we never talked during the classes. She was heading towards me. Smiling sheepishly, I gave her a friendly smile back.

"H-Hi." She said weakly.

"Oh hey." I said. We stood there for just a short while, then I remembered how I had to offer her my hand. "Oh, sorry." I said offering it. "I'm Kyle. Kyle Alford." Instantly she took my hand.

"Yeah I know." She giggled. "I'm Jasmine. Jasmine Martin." Her hands were soft, and really small. They weren't like Clara's however, hers were different. Hers fitted into mine like our hands were some kind of puzzle pieces that have to be connected. I looked at her questioningly. "Umm, you forgot your notebook in the classroom and, well I wanted to ask you .. can I, umm, borrow it - just for a couple of days." That was it? She looked more like she was going to ask me to prom. Pfft. That was relieving.

"Yeah, sure. You take it. But I'm not sure you'll find everything you need right there. And besides, I don't have the best handwriting in the world so it won't really be that easy for you to understand some words like-" I opened the notebook she held in her hands. "Here. See this word, it's impression My S's kinda look like x's don't they?"

"Yeah." She giggled. "But it's okay, it's not bad."

I heard a car's horn that's similar to my mother's car. I looked at the street and indeed found her.

"It's my mother, I have to go." I said.

"Okay, umm, see you around?" She said.

"Yeah, sure. See yah." Okay, making friends isn't that hard.
