A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

30. Lucky Twenty

"How can you be that funny?!" Jasmine was saying while laughing. I smiled a little, it's good to feel funny, it kinda reminds me that I'm a marauder, just like the other funny four at Hogwarts.

"Everyday I google "Funny Jokes." and I memories five jokes each day." I said joking. Jasmine laughed more, an the people around us started looking at us, so she tried to stop laughing. Taking deep breathes to stop herself from laughing. "You know when the list of names going to Hogwarts coming up?" I asked changing the subject.

"I think we should go to school today and check for it, and anyway I think that professor White mentioned something about going to school today if we want to  go to Hogwarts."

"You think? Then we'll go there once we finish, alright?" Jasmine nodded eating some of her frozen yogurt. I've finished eating mine almost right after I got it, but Jasmine was slow, just like Clara. Alex, however, eats like a pig. She's fast and she eats a lot! I really wonder how she's still that fit sometimes.

Jasmine continued eating, and once she finished we payed for the frozen yogurt and went to school. I was still driving, even that mom wasn't really relieved about the idea of me driving her car. At last I've managed to get her to allow me to steal the car for a few hours, but she told me that if she found a single scratch on it, she'd kill me. And I know she meant it.

A paper was pinned to the board in the school's corridor.

Twenty students have been nominated to go to

Hogwarts School.

In the end only Ten of them will go.

These Twenty will be selected to take the second, third,

There will be another kind of test for the twenty students.

I  found my name, right after Jasmine's and I was surprised by the hug she gave me when she read this. Maybe, after all, that is what she does when excited, she hugs the first person she sees. I was really happy! I've managed to pass the first test.

It consisted of about thirty questions about Hogwarts and they were easy to answer, especially for me. I wonder how Jasmine managed to pass it, though. It must be by chance, because she didn't go to Hogwarts last year.

I read the list again, and found Ruby and Ethan's names there. Other than the two of them and about five more, they came to Hogwarts with me last year, but the others were new to all of this. I wonder what the next tests will be

I woke up drowsy the next day, but I had flying and it kinda made things a bit better. I don't think I'll be needing lots of flying classes, just another couple of classes and that's it. I'm not a disastrous flier, after all. Let's just hope I get accepted in the house's team.

"I don't want to get out of bed." I said. My pillow covered my mouth and it sounded more like, "I downna gerouta ved." I didn't really mind talking to myself. I didn't think anyone would be up.

"What did you just say?" Clara was awake, apparently.

"Nothing." I said taking the pillow off of my face. "How do you manage to wake up early everyday without making an effort and being in a good mood?"

"So you want me to miss classes to be in a bad mood?" She asked, sticking her tongue out.

"Yeah. I envy you that much." I said sarcastically. It was then that I realized what she was actually doing. She was holding a blue book in her hands.

"What're you reading?" I asked.

"Just a book that I got from the library. You should read it it's really helpful." I nodded.

"Is it breakfast time already?" I asked, hearing the sounds of hunger my stomach made. Why was I hungry? I've just waken up! But then, I didn't have a good dinner yesterday. I was concerned about the whole going-to-professor-Dumbledore's office thing.

I was changing, and once I finished, Clara closed the book she was reading and started trying to wake Max up. Surprisingly, Max was up very fast, and we all went for breakfast together. Lara was in the Great Hall, waiting for our arrival with her boyfriend.

We saw professor Flitwick, who said good morning to us cheerfully;

"I just wanted to tell you that the Apparition classes will start next Saturday." He then turned to me. "You should probably try them Cross, they could be helpful."

"I'm planning to, professor." I said nodding. "Indeed they would. But let's hope they work."

"Let's hope they do." Professor Flitwick repeated.
