A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

58. Leaving

Everything Kyle needed for his trip was now packed. I finally sat on his suitcase to let Kyle close its zipper easily.

"I think you're supposed to be heavier, it's almost useless, really." We both laughed.

"Well I eat McDonald's I don't know why I don't get fat." I said sticking my tongue out. Maybe that is really how were supposed to be. I simply can't leave Kyle, even that spending time with him reminds me of my mission and makes me feel all guilty again. I don't know what I should do about my mission now that I'm not going to Hogwarts. Let's just hope for the best. God, please help me. Please help us all.

"What? What's wrong?" Kyle paused. "I was just kidding you're really useful, I mean look at this I wouldn't have been able to do it that fast!" He said pointing at the packed and now closed suitcase, underneath me. I smiled and jumped to the ground.

"Am I really?" I asked trying to persuade him that that's what was making me upset.

"Yup! Come on, do you wanna drink something? I can make you some cappuccino if you want."

So he made us both cappuccino, and then I sat with him and his family for a while. They're really amazing. Carla's so cute and his parents are really kind. When I finally decided it was time for me to leave Kyle walked me to the door.

"So.. are you coming with me tomorrow to the airport?" He paused. "It's totally fine if you don't want to do it-"

"Yeah sure I'd come. What're friends for?" I smiled. "And besides, I'm gonna miss you so I need to say goodbye to you tomorrow." He nodded and hugged me before I turned and went back home.

As promised, I went the to the airport the other day. They were to take a plane and then reach King's Cross station and then take the Hogwarts Express train, of course. Despite everything, I wish I could really go to Hogwarts, just because I want to see it. I just want to go there while there's peace.

We were in the platform, Kyle's family was with us of course. He was nervous, just a bit, and it was really cute. He hugged his parents goodbye, then Carla, and then came my turn.

"Are you nervous?" I asked smiling.

"A bit. But I'm excited as well."

"Sorry I couldn't come with you." I said.

"You know, I've always imagined that if I ever had a second trip to Hogwarts Alex would take it with me, and when Alex left and I met you, you were the one who I imagined sitting next to me in the plane. You, my best friend." I smiled. "Don't worry, we'll go somewhere else together." He said hugging me.

"I'm gonna miss you."

"It won't take long. Goodbye now. Wish me luck." He said as he turned to leave. He waved us all goodbye and then disappeared with the crowd of passengers.

The trip was harder than the first one. I wasn't totally alone, of course. I still had the other students with me, but I never really tried to have a good relationship with any of them, never thought I'd have to. It was okay, though. Better than I expected it to be anyway.

Things got even better in the train. I met Lily first and surprisingly, she was so excited to meet me as she hugged me.

"No one told me you were coming! That's amazing!" She's a great girl, Lily. James really deserves to own her heart.

"Well, I wanted it to be a surprise. How's everyone? Clara, the marauders, Alex? How are they all?" I asked.

"Oh everyone's really good, they miss you a lot though, specially Clara. Believe me I can tell it by the way I catch her daydreaming sometimes." She giggled. "As for the marauders, one of them's here. You'll find him in one of the compartments, you know, doing the usual stuff, being a prefect." I thanked her and started looking for him, and I found him talking to some of my school students.

"So after that we get sorted into four houses; Ravenclaw, Slythering, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Last year the students who visited us got sorted too. This time, however you'll be treated like every year's Triwizard tournament's guests. One other school will be joining us, as you know."

"So we're not the only guests here? There will be some other filthy muggles with us?" Remus turned to me slowly as if in sow motion. First his expression was angry, but then when he realized who I am he immediately gave me his usual bro hugs. "Lionheart! The fifth marauder've made it to Hogwarts again!"

"I have." I turned to the others. "Don't worry, I won't ever insult a muggle, since I am a muggle, I was just saying it to get his attention." Everyone laughed.

"Wait until the others see you. Our reunion."

"The Marauders' reunion." I whispered.
