A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

53. Invitation to the Club

I took a pen, and started writing what's been going through my mind for a long time.

I can't take it anymore, Kat. I can't do it. The boy's really good, and I think I'm starting to actually like him. I don't know if I love him, but I definitely like him so much that I can't lie to him anymore.

I'm really scared. All the time. I won't be able to go to Hogwarts and so your mission will get harder. I don't know if I can still help you with this whole thing, but it's really getting harder. The fear, though, is the only thing that's getting me to do this, in addition to your importance to me.

Kat, please help me, you don't know him as much as I do, cause if you did, you'd know how hard my mission is.

I got my owl, Strawberry out of her cage and gave her the letter. She knew where to go, and after a while she was back, carrying a letter from Kat.

Of course she didn't understand me, how would she? I'm not sure what I should do next.

I woke up today and noticed that there was an owl on my window, carrying a letter for me. I didn't know what to expect, but I got excited. I opened my window and slowly took the letter, trying not to disturb the owl. I started reading the letter;

Dear Kyle,

How're you doing? I miss you so much and you're not writing me much.

You should be proud of Alex, she's working really hard, and she'll have plenty of things to tell you.

As for me, well I'm alright, but I'm always thinking of you.

Will you be able to come to Hogwarts, Kyle?

Please tell me in a letter, and if you've got any news, tell be about them as well.

Please do your best to come, I really need to see you, I really miss you. Oh I've already said that.

With love,

I was quite happy to receive the letter, but it kinda gave me a strange feeling. I haven't seen Jasmine since the last test's day. We kissed twice, and it felt good. It makes me feel guilty, especially after reading Clara's letter. I feel bad even for my feelings for Jasmine. It's not that I love her like I love Clara, but - Jasmine is special to me. She's managed to become someone really important to me in a short while, and that's probably what makes her more special. I think she's avoiding me, and if not, I'm not really sure what's happening between us.

After we kissed, everything got more complicated than ever. She stopped answering her phone, she stopped visiting me, and she didn't even come to school yesterday.

I'm getting some special physical exercising with the other students who are going to Hogwarts with me. They say it's important for us, and that it'll help us. It'll probably just help me with everything mischievous the marauders and I will be able to do, this time. I wonder if they still have any plans.

From the selection of pencils on my desk, I got a pencil and started writing, it took me a while, for I was not sure what to tell her.

Dear Clara,

I miss you too, cutie, but I'm sorry, I won't be able to make it this time. I can't come to Hogwarts. There were many tests and they were really hard, and I simply couldn't just pass them all. My life's been dull after leaving Hogwarts, and there aren't much things happening to me right now.

The only huge things that happened to me were the tests, which were so hard, and me getting a new friend.

I wanted to write you more, but I was always busy, because of the tests and everything.

I didn't really feel like telling her about Jasmine in details, and I didn't want to tell her that I was going to Hogwarts. I want it to be a surprise.

It was lunchtime and I was sitting with the marauders and Max, but when Clara came, she looked sad. I asked her what was wrong with her in a whisper, and she said that she couldn't tell me there, so I went with her outside, where we could be alone.

"So tell me, what's wrong?" I asked. She sighed as then answered;

"Kyle's not coming to Hogwarts." She said.

"He's not?" I asked quite disappointed. She shook her head.

"And it's not just that. I feel weird. Something Kyle's last letter was strange, which is the one that took him ages to write. He didn't even say I love you or anything. I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting, but it doesn't feel good."

"What do you mean? Last time he wrote me a letter he told me that he missed you. I don't think you should worry about that. Kyle'll always feel the same way about you, maybe he was just busy, or forgot to say it." She looked a bit hopeful.

"You think so?" She asked. I nodded. "Thanks Alex, you're the best. You know how to make me feel better." I smiled at her and gave her a hug. "I'm still sad he's not coming, though. I miss him, you know?"

"I do too. And I'm sure he misses you more." I sighed. "We'll find a way to let you see him eventually. Don't worry."

"Good afternoon Miss Cross, Patel." Professor Slughorn came out of nowhere.

"Good afternoon, professor Slughorn." We both said.

"Miss Cross, what do you think about joining my club?" He asked, turning to me.

"What club, sir?"

"Well, I have a small club every year with some of my favorite students, and I should admit it, you're one of them now."

"Oh thank you, sir. And I'd love to join your club."

"Great! We meet every Friday, at evening, in my office."

"Alright. I'll be there." I said happily. I liked professor Slughron, and joining clubs, was one of the nice things I'd get to do. Even that it meant more commitments, it must be fun.

"You'll be welcomed there as well, miss Patel."

"Thank you sir." She said to him. "He just likes me because I'm Lara's sister. I don't believe he can tell us apart. He's invited her too. One of his favorite students.. I think he just likes famous students or really good potion makers." She said after he left, rolling her eyes. "I'll go, though. It must be fun."
