A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

105. Goodbye Kyle

Clara and I spent the Yule Ball's night like it's the last night for us together, because honestly, that's what it felt like. I mean, for a long time, since I'll be leaving Hogwarts tomorrow, this time for good. We won't have another Yule Ball like this. We had so much fun.

Today I woke up to the voice of the other marauders, they were packing. Sirius is going to spend this Christmas at James's and Remus's just going to go home. Clara and Lara will go home too, but Clara'll visit me on the 26th which is such an amazing idea. I think we'll just all gather with Alex's mother and Ben.

"Morning." I said.

"Morning? We've been trying to wake you up for ages, I thought Clara cast a sleeping spell on you." James said.

"What? Yeah, she might have done it. She probably wants me to miss the train so that she'd have me as a guest in her house at Christmas." I said joking.

"On second thought, no that's impossible. No one would want to spend Christmas with you." James joked. I laughed.

"On the other hand, James and I will be having the most amazing Christmas together, it will be quite romantic. There will be flowers, candles - oh and mistletoe!" He blew James kisses in the air. We all laughed.

"Quote romantic. I envy you."

It didn't take me long to pack. I don't really have lots of things to pack, but I just can't believe my trip's already over. It's too soon to say goodbye. I can't ever say goodbye to Hogwarts. I don't want to say goodbye to the marauders and the only thing that's keeping me alright is that I know I'll be able to see Clara in a couple of days. I'll miss Max, Lara and Lily too. God, I'll miss a lot of people. I wish I was staying here until the end of the school year.

The trip to Hogwarts was really exhausting, so was the time I spent here, competing in the Triwizard Tournament, but it was worth it, really. I regret nothing. It  definitely was worth it.

I closed my suitcase once I was finished with my packing and decided it was time to say goodbye. My stomach made a sound.

"Dude, are you hungry?" Sirius asked.

"I can't believe said "dude"" I said.

"Well, you do have a bad influence on me." I laughed.

"No, by the way, I'm not hungry. My stomach likes to make sounds when I'm packing." I said sarcastically.

"Alright, alright. It was a dumb question, I get it. Now let's go eat."

"God. I don't want you to leave!" Max said as I hugged her goodbye.

"Believe it or not, I don't want to leave either. Thank you Max, for staying with me after what happened with Alex and while it was happening. I really needed someone who could feel what I was feeling."

"Oh please, I'm the one who's supposed to be thanking you." She hugged me again. "Don't worry, we'll meet again. Each time we come to visit Ally or she comes to visit us, you'll be with her. That's an order." I smiled at that.

"Yes, ma'am."

I turned to Clara next. "I will kill you if you changed your mind about the 26th." I told her, joking.

"I'm not nuts. I won't change my mind, I promise." I hugged her strongly and turned to the marauders next.

"You know guys, we should have got ourselves some of those friendship necklaces, you know them? We'd carve them with the word marauders, this way we can always be together. Even in the bathroom." The four of them laughed.

"Inseparable." Sirius said winking.

"Yeah, we should do it, next reunion of the Marauders."James said joking.

"Matching necklaces, how have I never thought of that?" Remus said laughing. The five of us laughed then.

"Until then, my friends."

My leaving wasn't as dramatic as Kyle's. This was it for him. Last day at Hogwarts. After we said our goodbyes, the professors insisted that we should take a picture, all of us together with the muggles. Then, that was it. we were out of Hogwarts. I'm taking the bus and plane with Kyle of course, since we're going to the same place. My mother, Ben and I will spend the Christmas eve -which is tonight- at Kyle's, it's always been like this ever since my parents split up -spare the Ben part though of course.

"This time the trip to Hogwarts was something, wasn't it?" I said. "You came as a muggle and left as a champion."

"Yeah, perks of being a stupid muggle." I laughed.

"Don't say that." He raised an eyebrow, surprised to hear me saying something to stop him from insulting himself.

"You're not stupid. You're exceptionally dumb." We both laughed.

"Silly Ally."
