A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

102. Begging for Mercy

The moment I heard voices in the hospital wing, I opened my eyes. I shrieked, so hard that I think I hurt my throat.

"What happened? What happened with the task? What happened with the tournament?" Lucius was there, his look wasn't reassuring. "Lucius." He wouldn't talk. "Kill me, but don't ever say it. I didn't lose. No." I started shaking my head so violently, because this can't happen, it can't. I must win, I must, I must or I'll be dead. Even Jasmine will be dead.

All I did is cry. I cried and cried and shouted and as Lucius came near me saying that he's sorry, I hit him. I kept repeating "I didn't lose." over and over until I heard him calling madam Pomfrey and saying something about me panicking and so she let me drank something and I passed out.

"How on earth do you expect the Dark Lord to forgive you?" Voldemort's voice echoed in my head. He's standing right in front of me, but I don't know why his voice always sounds like this. As if it can only be heard through my scull not my ears.

"My Lord, I beg you to forgive me. I beg you. I know I promised I'll do it. And I know I told you that she's dead, but that's because I really thought she was!" I was kneeling on my knees and Lucius was now trying to defend me.

"My Lord, please forgive her, I went with her on the second task and I saw what she went through. It was an extremely tough task for a young aged girl. If you let me do it, my Lord I would've done it with no hesitation, but all I could do was help her through the second task and where did that lead us? Alex was nearly killed that time. She's still a beginner, my Lord. She'll make a great Death Eater one day, but it's not her day yet."

"If I ever forgave you, Katy. That would be for Lucius. Because he's a loyal, sensible Death Eater. But whether to forgive you or not, I have not decided yet. I'll call you again and when I do, you must be the first to come, for I will decided whether you should stay alive or simply lay dead."

I was so proud of Alex and Kyle. Especially Kyle! He made it to the first place. He's the champion.

Ben told me all about the history of the tournament and what it about and how it's like. He basically told me everything, and I have to admit it, I wasn't really delighted with Alex for being part of it. It's super dangerous and I would have never allowed her to put her name in the Goblet of Fire. But, she passed it, that's what's important.

After the second task, I almost lost myself. I thought I lost her, for real. I used to talk to her and find no response. She didn't look the same, she didn't seem the same - she wasn't the same. She was weak and tired. Thank God she's now well and good.

I asked Dumbledore if she could quit the tournament after her injury in the second task, even that I knew the answer would be no, because I asked Ben before and he told me that she can't quit this. She just can't. He also told me that Dumbledore wouldn't be able to change anything by himself, that it was the ministry's decision as well, and that they would never allow such a thing. Since she's alive, she'll continue, but if she weren't they would have stopped the tournament.

Now that's all over. Now Kyle's a champion and she's almost a champion herself. I'm so proud of them both.

The film Ben and I've been working on is finished by now. The mere people are absolutely amazing creatures. They're really amazing. We figured so many information about them and we taped it all. Their voices are extraordinary. I've never heard better voices. But now that we're done with the film, we'll have to go home.

I wanted to meet Alex more in my visit, but it hasn't really been useless, my visit. I can't imagine flying all the way from the USA to UK to find out that my daughter's on the line between life and death. I had to be there for her. That girl, Jasmine, is such a good girl. She's done the right thing by telling us. Now I know that my daughter will not be a hundred percent safe, but she's in good hands and the tournament's over. Jasmine told me that they'll use the tournament to try to get her, but now, at least I don't have to worry about that.

I had my suitcase packed and now I had to say goodbye to Ally. It's almost Christmas anyway, she'll soon be home.

~Three Weeks Later.

"COME ON ALLY!" I was shouting nearly the whole time.

We were all sitting together, watching the Slytherin VS. Ravenclaw final Quidditch match.

Ally's been doing alright, but the other team's winning and I want her to win. I want Ravenclaw to win because I want Alex to win, also, because I want Slytherin to lose.

"She can't find it anywhere." Max said.

"I know, where the heck is the snitch?" Remus asked.

"Seems like it's going to be one looong final match." The commentator said. Indeed, it has been a long match so far.

"SLYTHERIN SCORES!"  He said next. We all made furious voices. Come on, Ally. "And it looks like their Chaser's finally found the Snitch." Alex was alarmed by that, she started looking at the other team's chaser, and when she found him, she flew so fast and followed him, but he was following the snitch and the snitch was so fast. He was nearer to it and then- "AND HE CATCHES THE SNITCH! SLYTHERIN WINS!" A loud cheering from the Slytherins filled the pitch. They lost.

Ally was so upset, but she was also tired, I could tell.

"Poor Alex." James said. I nodded.

"I'll go see her." Right before I did this, I found her coming to me. "How did you find us?" I asked.

"Are you kidding me? This Snitch got me to look everywhere. I can't believe we lost!"

"Come here." I said giving her a hug. She still held her broomstick in her hand so it touched my back as she hugged me.

"Ugh, God, I wanted to win."

"Better luck next time sweetie." Max said. Alex gave her a deadly look.

"There will be no next time. At least for me. Remember? I'm only staying here for a year." Max laughed.

"Sorry. Sorry, oh God, I'm such an idiot. Trying to make you feel better and making everything worse." Alex laughed at that too.

"Typical Max."
