A Magical Year (Magical trilogy book #2)

*Complete* 1976 ... Last year, Alex and Kyle visited Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with their school. They're best friends, and more like a brother and sister. Hogwarts was not the kind of school they expected to ever visit, since it taught REAL magic. And they never expected to meet such people there, people who they'd love.
Because of this love, Alex got the ability to make some simple spells; a talent that it so rare that it's nearly impossible. Now what'll happen when Alex turns from a muggle to a part-witch? And what will the Ministry of Magic decide to do about her?

18. Arithmancy

Alex's P.O.V

Clara and I went to see the marauders. Max was probably still with them, and I wanted to go and see Sirius before my first class starts.

I have Arithmancy after one hour. And it's really scary because I've heard that Aritmancy's a hard subject, and I hope I get high marks in it. I have to.

We walked to the great hall and didn't find them there, so we decided to go to the tree the marauders used to sit by. We went there and there we found them, with Max and Lily. They were all talking, some of them laying on the ground and the others sitting. When Sirius saw me he instantly stood up. He kissed me and then we both sat down next to each other.

"Where were you?" He asked me.

"We went to professor Flitwick's office."

"Again? I don't like this man now."

"You're jealous Prongs?" I asked joking. The others just laughed. "He helped me with my timetable."

"Are you in my classes?" Max asked. She was laying, her head on Remus's laps, and he was playing with her short hair.

"I guess, some of them." I said. "I need to take some kind of class called ... Magic Basics. Professor Flitwich said that any wizard can give me this class, so can any of you give it to me?"

"I will!" Sirius said very fast, not allowing anyone to volunteer before he does. I smiled at him.

"I can't remember seeing a couple cuter than you two - oh and James and Lily. Oh my god." Max said half closing her eyes.

"Yeah? Well then maybe you should go see yourself in a mirror with Remus." Lily said. Max and Remus laughed.

"I can't believe how much time we've wasted just because I was too dumb not to trust her love for me."

"It's okay Remus, don't say that about yourself." Max started saying.

I looked at my watch and discovered that I only had half an hour till my class starts. Clara shared this class with me, Max and Lara don't. When Clara found me checking the time, she said;

"I think we should go to our class now, we still need to figure out where the class is."

It took us a while to finally find the Arithmancy class, and it's a good thing we went searching for it before half an hour, because it took us about 25 minutes to find it. We went to professor McGonagall when we gave up, and she gave us the instructions.

It's the first time Clara took this class, so I wasn't the only one. Most people take this class in their fifth or sixth year, Clara told me.

The class was really big. The professor looked young. She had a light skin, long, brown hair and brown eyes. We took our seats and waited for her to start the class.

"Good morning everyone. My name is Septima Vector and I will be teaching you Arithmancy. Arithmancy is the magical discipline  that studies the magical properties of numbers. It will be easy for some people, and extremely hard for the others. But if you find it hard, don't worry, this all can change. I am a patient person, and I will make sure you get everything I say, because that's an important subject."

As she started explaining some more stuff about Arithmancy, I got really excited to get this class. The class wasn't that long, and we didn't take many information in it, so I wasn't really confused. Actually, I think I'll like Arithmancy, I've always liked numbers, and math.
