The Dark Days Ahead

Alex is a confused teenage girl who has moved from place to place, when weird occurrences happen and her school takes a trip to Hogwarts??? I wonder where this will lead. (please tell me what you think it really means a lot.)

1. Finding who you are

I never really realized how much it hurts people.

How a simple cut can change your live forever.

How depressed you feel knowing it’s your fault.

Everything is your fault.

Nothing can change this now.

I am different.

But being different gets you killed.

There are so many things out there.

So many dangers.

“ALEX TIME TO GET READY FOR SCHOOL!!!!” my foster mom yelled up at me.

“ALREADY ON IT.” I yelled back.

I was already up and dressed packed and ready for school. I had to escape this hellhole. This summer was weird, I could do things, things that scared me, no one knew but my best friend Travis he doesn’t care that I’m different he knows I will always be the same. As I walked to the bus stop I met up with Travis, as I was engulfed in a hug, my long blonde hair getting in my mouth, I looked up at the blue eyed brown  haired freckled boy I had grown up, with the boy I had always loved.

“Alex, you’re staring,” Travis said smiling his big goofy grin.

“What? Oh sorry,” I said blushing.

As we got on the bus and sat down in our usual seats I glanced at Travis thinking how I got such a great best friend we grew up together he knows all my secrets and I know his. The only thing he doesn’t know is that I have more than just best friend feelings for him I would tell him but I don’t know if he returns the feelings, I mean what if he doesn’t?  All of it would be a waste. All of this was so confusing, I didn’t want to tell Travis and then ruin our friendship. I couldn’t lose him. As we got to school Travis pulled me to the side,

“Ok I know you, something is bothering you what is it?” he asked.

“It’s nothing,” I lied. But he wouldn’t give up.

“Alex,” he looked at me with his beautiful blue eyes with concern.

“I… just missed you.” I lied again. I didn’t want to lie to him but I couldn’t tell him until I was sure that he felt it back.

His eyes told me he didn’t believe it but would back off for now.

“I missed you to.” He said smiling his big goofy grin up at me.

As we got to our first class an announcement was made over the intercom “Students we have a special announcement there is a special school called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizarding that has invited us to visit for an exchange program we have sent out permission slips to your parents, Have a good day.”

“What is that?” Travis asked curiously.

“I guess we will find out when we get home.” I said.

The day flew by and Travis and I met up at the end of the day.

“Do you want to walk home, or ride the bus?” Travis asked me.

“Let’s walk it’s not that far.” I said

“So what was bothering you earlier?” Travis asked innocently.

“Umm… it was just first day of school jitters,” I said

“Alex I get it if you don’t want to talk to me but don’t lie to me about it.”

“Travis I just... I can’t tell you yet, you would… never mind.” I said tears springing in my eyes, turning away.

“Alex no matter what you say will ever change how I feel about you.” He said embracing me in a hug.

“How do you feel about me, are we just friends…?” I asked timidly pulling out of his loving grip.

“I love you Alex.” He said pulling me into a kiss.
