3. She Always Knew

Liam and I walked back into the lunch room. Liam and I were holding hands and everybody just stared at us. It was totally bizarre. Then Raelynn looked at us. She smiled at us and it looked like she was going to burst out laughing.

“What I asked?” I said sitting down with Liam as he slipped his arm around my waist.

“So, are you guys dating now?” She asked both of us.

“Yeah.” Liam responded.

“I told you.” Raelynn whispered under her breath. I kicked her under the table. But Liam heard.

“What are you talking about?” He asked.

“I just told Bayleigh today that you would be the perfect couple. The whole school thinks that.” She stated.

Liam just smiled between me and Raelynn. The rest of the day was bliss. Liam and I finally together.

After school we listened to music and held hands as Liam drove me home. I was in my own world when suddenly I heard Liam’s voice.

“You’re home.”

“Oh, okay. Do you want to come in? We can study.” I asked him.

“Sure.” He said.

Liam smiled at me and pulled my face toward his. He put his lips gently on mine and our lips moved in sync. Then our tongues started to move in sync. Just then I heard a tap on the window. I snapped my head back so hard that I hit my head on the window. Liam started laughing and I turned around to see my older brother laughing too. I step out of the car enraged.

“Thanks a lot Will. You are such a jerk.” I said, slapping my brother… Hard.

“Well, you little sis do not need to be making out in a car.” Will called after me.

I stepped into my house with Liam behind me.

“What did I hear about making out?” My mother, Holly, asked as she walked toward me. She then realized that Liam was right behind me as Will walked in.

“Wait, you two were making out?” Mom asked in a shocked voice. I blushed and I couldn’t even speak to my mother.

“Yes, yes they were mom.” Will piped in while walking toward the kitchen.

Just then Liam laced his fingers with mine and smiled at me.

“So, are you two dating?” Mom asked questioningly. When my mom asked that Will popped his head out of the question to hear the answer.

“Well, mom… yes we are.” I told her nervously. I didn’t know how she was going to react. I mean she’s known Liam for years, and she trust him and all that, but I still didn’t know how she was going to react.

“Oh, I never thought I would see the day. I always knew you two would end up together.” Mom said. She didn’t look shocked or upset or anything like that. She looked completely normal in fact.

“Mom what are you talking about? How did you know?” I asked her questioning how she knew.

“Ever since you two were both born you always had a bond. You never wanted to be away from each other. But just watching you grow up together it proved my point more. Lately you guys have been very flirtatious, and you both also look at each other in that special way. I just always knew.” She told us.

“Oh,” was all I could say. I was completely speechless. My mom always knew but we didn’t. It just seemed crazy.

“Well, I don’t know about this. My baby sister shouldn’t be dating yet. She actually shouldn’t be dating at all.” Will butted in.

“Will shut up! You’re not even in this conversation!” I yelled at him.

“Bayleigh calm down, I got this. Will she is fine. We have known Liam for years. You know he wouldn’t hurt her.” Mom said. It was nice that she was sticking up for me. I guess I should have known that she was going to be okay with all of this. My mom loves Liam, sometimes as if he was her son too. I finally was starting to feel like this was all going to be okay.
