May 15th, 2012- Present day

I shut my apartment door behind me and tossed my keys into the bowl and dropped my work bag onto the floor. My beagle Shiloh jogged over to me wagging his tail high in the air.
"Hi puppy." I said in a baby voice and scratched his ear. I walked over to the kitchen and made myself some tea after a long day of work and sat on the sofa in complete silence. It felt strange in the apartment, like someone else lived here besides me. It felt like that ever since I came home from the hospital after a car crash I was in last year.
I got up and put my empty cup in the sink and went to my room to lie down. I changed out of my work clothes and rummaged through my closet to find an old shirt or something to wear. I came across a purple sweatshirt and held it for a second. The stitching said Jack Wills and I didn’t remember ever buying something like that. Out of habit I sniffed it and it smelled like men's cologne. I shrugged and put it on anyway and stood to go to the bed.

Flashback……..

"Harry come on!" I said racing around the corner.
"Wait up!" It was our usual game of tag and I was winning; he however was being very slow. I stopped at the top of the street and waited for him. He jogged up to me gasping for air and I rolled my eyes.
"How can we play tag if you're not going to run?" I said to him.
"Touring does things to you." He said. I shook my head and smiled at the ground.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing. How'd I get lucky enough to be with a great guy like you?" I asked.
"Played your cards right." He smiled and leaned down and kissed me, "Let's go."
"Go where?" I asked.
"To the beach."
"It's getting dark out." I noticed the clouds turning pink and orange.
"So what? Come on." He grabbed my hand and pulled me in the direction heading to the beach.

We walked up and down the beach close to the water and let the waves roll over our feet. I held my flip flops in one hand and held Harry's hand in the other.
"Out of all the girls in the world how did you wind up with me?" I looked over at him and couldn’t believe I just said that.
"What's that suppose to mean?" He was obviously confused.
"I mean, they're so many other girls out there that are prettier and smarter than me and can actually walk without tripping most of the time." I laughed.
"I don't know but I'd rather have you over any other girl in the world." He said kissing my head and snaking his arm around my waist.
"What would you be doing right now if you were on tour?" I asked.
"Thinking of you." I hit him playfully and giggled. The sun sank over the horizon and the temperature dropped dramatically. I started to shiver a little from the cold and kept rubbing my arms.
"Are you cold?" He asked. I shook my head. I was wearing a tank top and caprice in 40 degree weather.
"Here." He took off his signature purple Jack Wills hoody and gave it to me. I pulled it over my tank and rubbed my arms. It was really warm and it felt really good. It smelled like him too. We took a seat on the sand away from the water and watched the wave's crash and the seagulls fly around overhead. I leaned against his shoulder and he put an arm around me.
"What would I do without you?" I asked.
"You'd be hopeless." He joked; I sighed, "I know I'd be." He added. I looked up at him and gazed into his gorgeous green-blue eyes……..

I woke up with a start noticing I'd been clutching onto the sweatshirt for dear life. Shiloh was still asleep on the corner of the bed. I sniffed the sweatshirt and I knew I knew that scent but I couldn’t figure out whose it was. I got out of bed and walked out into the kitchen to check the time. 10:00 a.m. I couldn’t believe it was Saturday already and that I didn’t have to go to work. I walked over to the couch and turned on the TV and started to flip through the stations.
"And now Britain's hot boy band, One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful"." I watched the music video and thought, should I know this? A curly haired boy came on the screen and I looked at him more closely thinking I knew him but I couldn’t figure it out so I gave up and continued to flip through the channels.

Harry's P.O.V

"Lou come on we have to go." I said. He's been sitting at the kitchen table for the past 3 hours staring at his phone. He's been doing that practically every day.
"You can bring that with you." He looked up but then looked back down again. I walked over to him and shook him a little bit.
"Come on we have to go." He put his phone into his pocket and walked out the door with me following behind.
"Where are we going again?" He asked a few feet ahead of me.
"You said you would take me to drop my car off." I said.
"Are you going to trade it?" He asked.
"Yep." Ever since the accident I never could drive my car. I fixed it up and got most of the damage fixed but it was useless. I would always take someone else's because it haunted me to no end. Louis hopped in the passengers' seat and I sat in the drivers' seat. I put my hands on the wheel and took a deep breath and pulled out of the complex's garage.
The weather outside was a little cloudy but otherwise perfect. I wasn’t paying attention to Louis who was rambling off about something and I just looked over at him. I didn’t see his face though; it was Emily's. Smiling and laughing like we would do on days like these.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Louis said. I blinked a few times and her image went away. Louis had a dumb look on his face and I snapped out of it.
"Forget it." I said looking straight ahead.
"You alright?" He asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, fine." I croaked. He didn’t say anything and he noticed my uneasiness. He tried to speak but nothing came out. I pulled into the car dealership and parked.
"Hello." The dealer said, "How can I help you?"
"I'd like to get rid of my car and just buy a different one." I said.
"Son, it's not that simple." He said.
"I don't care I have the expense to just get rid of it. It's an Audi 2012 and I really can't keep it anymore." I pleaded. He let out a big sigh and looked right at me.
"What did you have in mind?" He asked. I looked at the entire lot until I finally settled on a new BMW. I drove off the lot and left the past behind me at the dealership. Louis' phone buzzed and he sprang in his seat and looked at the screen but then chucked the phone at the ground disappointed.
"Watch it, this is new." I told him. He crossed his arms over his chest and pouted like a little kid and said nothing.
"You're so immature you know that?" I told him. He didn’t respond.
