Have you ever felt like you're being watched? Have you ever felt like somebody is behind you when you walk? When you're alone? When the lights are off? We all do, at some point. Unfortunately for some of us...this isn't just our imagination.

2. "You Better Hurry"

Nick knew he was late for school, thanks to his clock. According to his clock, he was 10 minutes late. The fact that he had night school didn't help at all, but at least he had a car now. He had just arrived from a day at his girlfriend Sofia's house, and he felt his Professor would make him stay and clean the classroom overnight--again.

He had to stop by his house to pick up his project on Atoms. He was lucky enough to have left it on his kitchen table, he remembers. Nick was never the best at chemistry, but he could remember any formula you gave him. He excelled in math as he did in Piano Lab. But now was not the time to practice any major scales, he was on his way to his house for a reason.

Arriving at his house, Nick felt a strange feeling as he got out of his Toyota Camry. He ran his hand along the smooth blue surface of the hood as he walked around the front of his vehicle. He kept his eyes on the door of his house as he opened the gate leading into his front yard. It opened with a slow creak that he had said he would fix months ago, but just never got around to it. He followed the familiar pavement that would eventually take him to his front door. After climbing up 3 stone steps, he took out his keys and inserted the bright red one into the hole in his doorknob. When he felt it was all the way in, he twisted it to the right and was surprised to see it would not turn. Had he locked it that morning when he left to go to Sofia's house?

He remembers locking it...but it wasn't locked. Or maybe he just thought he locked it. After all, he did forget his Chemistry project, so he just concluded that was the case. He had forgotten to lock his door this morning. Once he opened the door, he was hit with a burst of the familiar scent of his home. He smiled, relieved he had made it. He closed his eyes for a second or two longer than a standard blink, and walked into his house in a hurry. But right before he took his first step, he could have sworn he heard someone whisper right behind his ear. The voice was low, and raspy. It seemed to be that of an old woman's...but a bit deeper. The voice also sounded parched and dry.

"You better hurry" The voice said. He only took a single step before stopping dead in his tracks. He turned around quickly to see who had said that, but nobody was there.
