Snare and delusion *complete*

Everything seemed so real. Their smiles seemed so sincere. What if it was just a cover? What if everything was just a snare and a delusion?

14. It was them

No. It couldn't be them. It wasn't true. They must be kidding.

All the boys were thinking the same thing. Their parents just couldn't be those who spied them all this time. It couldn't be them who sent the pictures to the magazines. It couldn't be them who sent them all the short letters.

No one spoke. The parents were waiting for the boys' reactions and the boys didn't know what to say.

But, at last, Harry broke the tense silence,

"I don't understand... Why?" he asked in a calm voice.

His mother answered him, "We couldn't bear you having an argument or fighting anymore. It made us so sad to see what was actually happening." She didn't dare looking her at her son.

Niall's mother carried on, "The day your band was formed, we were the happiest and proudest parents ever. You got on so well that one could have sworn you knew each other since years. You were like brothers." Tears filled with tears as she talked.

"But, one day, everything changed," Louis' mother spoke, "We couldn't believe it. It was the last thing we would have expected. It seemed unreal."

She was crying as well.

"So, we thought about trying to make you realise what you had become," Zayn's mother told them, "We thought that this would be a kind of eye-opener for you. But we were wrong. Things got worse because you didn't react the way we thought you would." She sobbed.

"We lost control of everything. We swear to you that we didn't want this to happen that way! We just wanted your friendship not to be screwed up. We are so sorry!" The boys were staring at them, agape.
